The underware bomber received a 2 year visa from the Bush/Cheney State Dept. He was twice admitted into the US during the Bush/Cheney years. He was trained by an inmate released from Gitmo by Bush/Cheney in a country that Bush/Cheney wrote off as a terrorist hotbed. He hops a plane to Detroit after not being detained by DUTCH authorities and fails in his attempt to blow up the plane and it is Obama's fault.....
Happy New Year to all and may 2010 bring a bit more civility and sanity to us all.

I know it is complex, but Bush, Cheney, Rice et al are not in charge at this point.. The system is not right, and you can contimue to blame the last administration, or wonder if we should placate or face down extreme Muslims that want to kill my grandkids?? Pretty simple for me.. but I'm a stupid conservative, combat vet, and irritated with the direction this Nation is being led..

Thanks...I think. My point is that the system in place is to blame. The system in place was installed by Bush/Cheney. It didn't work at least in one case (I think we may assume it did in many others), so now lets stop politicizing and placing blame and demand it be changed as needed hopefully without taking away any more of our rights than is absolutely required.
PS: True... The underware (underwear) bomber flew under Obama's
watch.
but.... The 9-11 bombers flew under Bush/Cheney's watch!

You will find a way to blame Bush for everything. Yes he got a visa. Did he do anything while Bush was in office? Who is not in charge of home land security and who is checked and monitored and restricted.
My God ... his father even called the state dept and warned them about his son and still Obama administration did NOTHING. Don't want to offend a Muslim.

Yes they did and Bush took appropriate action and all liberals like you did was complain about the war ... and don't start in about Iraq ... it was all tied together.
Bush kept us safe for 8 years hunting down and breaking terrorist cells. We are now seeing another result of the weak, inexperienced and spinless Obama administration.

Looks like we will see 2010 as an extension of 2009 for you. Please reread my post. Did I blame Bush for 9/11? Did I blame Bush for issuing a Visa to the latest Muslim crackpot? Did I say Obama should continue as if nothing happened? I pointed out some facts that you and your extremist ilk seem to have conveniently forgotten.In a similar vein, the latest nut's father approached a US official with concerns about his son a few weeks before that son goes of half cocked. A few weeks before 9/11 Condi Rice received in the WH quite explicit intellegence about Bin Laden and his minions training to use commercial aircraft as a terror weapons. In the final days of the Clinton Administration the incoming Bush Administration was given specific warnings to consider Bin Laden a threat. Using your logic concerning the former you should be crying for blood based on the two latter!
Unless you and I are willing to live in an isolationist police state (I'm not) then future terror from within or without is not only possible but likely. Even in a police state some terror can happen, it might even come from someone who in such circumstances both of us would see it as a patriots!
Good grief WW take your blood pressure medicine, calm down and try to do a little less embarassment to youself and to thinking conservatives in the new decade. I do hope you have a happy new year but feel it is probably not in the cards for you considering your viewpoint.

What is your love affair with Obama and socialism all about? In his first year what has he done that is positive to you and the country?
All of his policies have made the recession last longer, made unemployment rise to over 10% with real unemployment closer to 20% (remember the stimulus was to prevent it from going over 8%), focused on socialist programs that the american people do not want, weakend national security.
Now he wants to add a special tax on people that use tanning salons. They say it is a luxury for the wealthy that should be taxed. No, the wealthy have their own tanning beds or go to resorts.
The guy is sick. Seriously. He wants to tax and tax, add to government and control everything. A true socialist. And everytime he adds another tax, more businesses close and more people are unemployed.
Even if we start getting job growth sometime next year, he will be the first president ever with a net loss in employment over 4 years since the recovery we will have will be weak due to his policies and there is no way he will create 8 million jobs over the next 3 years. Yes first president with net loss in employment, including during the great depression.
I am sure you will try to blame it on Bush, but it is Obama's policies that are not working. Recessions are normal ... other presidents have inherited them ... it is how you deal with them that makes the difference.
So enlighted us ... what is it that he has done right?
We all know you don't like Palin ... but she is not running the country, you boy is ... but we all know she would have done a heck of a better job than this bozo.

It is only January 1 and you have posted at 6:59AM, 7:02, 7:08, 9:08, 9:10, and 9:22. That is 6 times by 9:30 in the morning. Man, you made the wrong New Years resolution to post at least 6 times before 10. The Left is curious what you were doing between 7 and 9 that kept you in check? Audit has been handled ... I requested an early appointment since I was ready with everything they asked for and went yesterday afternoon. Can you believe the government was actually working on NYE. It came out with a small adjustment .... in my favor. I should be getting a check soon.

I don't mind you disagreeing ... but how about answer a question or rebut with facts to back your loyalty and support for Obama rather than just lower yourself to typical liberal tactics of name calling and labeling anyone that does not agree with your out of touch point of view.
Everyone you call names have put forth facts why Obama is a disaster for this county and point to specifics as to his policies not working.
You do not have to agree ... but at least say why and support your position with what is so good, rather than just calling someone names like a child.

Why do you refuse to even think a moment about any facts which are not in lockstep with your hard right views?
You constantly demand I explain my "support" for Obama. I have explained on more than one occasion that I am an independent voter(I know...independents are only "cowards") and that mine was a reluctant vote for Obama. Except for McCain's kow-towing to the likes of you culminating in PALIN, he would have probably had my vote. I don't "support" Obama, I support this great nation and therefore hope and pray he succeeds. If you and the other Tea Party Nazi-Lite bunch ever take over the vast majority of the citizens will look back on Obama with nostalgic admiration.

No .... what I have said is if you are going to be critical of people that do not agree with you, yet they present facts and reasons why ... then I think you should come out and say what you feel is so good that maintains your support rather than play the childish name calling and labeling game.
You never say what you feel your leader is doing good for the country. I understand there is nothing ... so why not admit that and just say you are a die hard liberal and don't care that the policies are not working and the country is far worse off ... but you will continue to support your out of touch liberal views.

Hmmm… perhaps Archy is displaying displacement behavior. When faced with defending a position for which he has no defense, his tendency is to resort to attacking the opposing messenger or the messenger’s political affiliation.
Obama’s represented premise was one of “hope”. Unfortunately, he did not have any resources or methods available… outside of political thuggery… to deliver on his promises.
History is not on Obama’s side. Many leaders, dictators, and despots have taken this same path before Obama… and with the same failed results. This isn’t an experiment – it’s a rerun of a failed experiment.
Perhaps it’s even simpler than that – Obama’s vision is utopian and unattainable in the context of reality. (I use “utopian” even though my gut feeling is that Obama is more malicious than naïve.)
There were those whose politics are (were) middle-of-the-road, who fancied themselves independent, who voted for Obama based on THEIR concept of “hope” and THEIR burning desire to see the politics-as-usual-inside-the-beltway squelched… change.
In fact, the naïve independents may get their way after all. Obama, the incompetent pretender, in playing out his improbable agenda… has kicked over a huge anthill. The American people are mad as hell! Perhaps we SHALL see change.
Hound and I hope, for the good of America, we change back to respecting and adhering to the Constitution of the United States of America.
Now there is HOPE and CHANGE in which we can believe.
