Saw on Fox this morning that not only did the dems lose the seat previously held by Ted Kennedy .... but BO and Biden's senate seats both look like they will go to republicans in the November elections if the current polling holds true. WOW!!! What a slap in the face that would be.

That is almost as bad as Al Gore not being able to carry his home state of Tenn with 3 electoral votes and really why he lost the election to GB.

If you consider that Al lived the vast majority of his life in Washington DC, he did win his home "area". Those of us whose true home is Tennessee knew he wasn't on the same page as we are but was aligned with DC thinking. That's why he lost here.

I also am from Tennessee. Little Al rode on Big Albert's coat tail, never attended schools in Tennessee, and his only contact for years was the home place in Smithville. Little Al has zero strings tying him to Tennessee other than his current Bel Meade mansion in Nashville and the family farm.

Big Albert taught Little Al well. If you remember, Albert Gore was a Liberal before Liberal was a word. Remember his stance against the Viet Nam War along with fellow a Senator from the Dakotas who was beaten like a drum when he ran against Reagan. Comrades in these years were Jane Fonda, Tom Hayden, John Kerry, and others.

Little Al has done well after leaving the Clinton administration. Hitching onto Global Warming increased his wealth from app. $3M to the present of $100M. Not to mention a Nobel Peace Prize, an Academy Award, and a life of luxury.

How do fellow Tennesseans remember Little Al? Global Warming!

The Senator from S. Dakota was George McGovern and I think that he was trounced in 1972 by Richard Nixon.

And the family farm is in Carthage in Smith County. Big Al also voted against the 1960 Civil Rights Act. Tennesseans are apalled by the hypocracy of a 120 x 20 houseboat that has to have biodiesel trucked in just so he could make a statement.

We lived in Tennessee during the Bush v Gore debacle. He seems to be an embarrassment to the people of Tennessee. It’s a Scrushy thing… Al just hasn’t yet been prosecuted.
