Does anyone know what is going on with Sinclairs? There was a post that they are not renewing their lease. Anyone heard more or if this space is available for another restaurant to come in?

I read that earlier post and asked the owner. He assured me that they were not going anywhere. In fact we booked an event in May. They have been colsed Monday's and Tuesday's. but said they would be returning to the regular hours in a couple of weeks when the weather starts warming up.

I was hoping something better would come to such a great location.

just another false rumor--which surfaces yearly--undoubetedly from the same source

Maybe we need a standing Rumors Topic.
We could add Sinclairs is closing rumor.
Also add Blue Creek bridge is going to be raised.
Russell Lands is/is not going to/not going to....
Alan Jackson :or insert CW name: is buying the Scrushy house.

Yes too bad. I was hoping to buy it and bring a great concept there that I know people would love.

What about Frankie's up at River North. Not sure if available or not

But could draw Alex City locals as well, just not sure about
Parking issue many have mentioned.

One thing I learned long time ago talking with location spotters for a chain. If it had something related there to what you propose and it failed, likely you will too.
I cannot understand why people throw their lives down the drain at those and other such locations.

Too bad you feel that way. We have eaten there the last three Sunday nights and the food and service and price have been outstanding. Guess we all have different expectations.

guess so ... I have never had a good meal there. the service is horrible. and yes we have gone recently (can't eat at Springhouse every night) and the place is dead. Very depressing. It is tough to get in to Springhouse on the weekend even in the winter, but no problem walking in to Sinclairs anytime.

If you enjoy it great. But, I feel it is a sad excuse for a restaurant.
