First spring for me and our Malibu. Anyone have a recommendation on a good Wax and Carpet Cleaner?

Meguires Flagship Wax is the best all around I've found.

Agreed, Meguiar's Flagship Premium Marine Wax is what I use.
I think you will be hard pressed to find a better product for the price and ease of use.

I like all Meguires products too. For the tough carpet stains, I recently used a product from walmart that worked great, but I can't remember the name. It was in a spray can that almost looked like a small gray fire extinguisher because of the trigger type sprayer. Next time in in wally world I will buy more and post the name.

I would have to agree with Mav. Collenite is the best. That is what the pros use donwn at the gulf. It stands up well to the saltwater.

Mack:

Collinite Products can be purchased directly from the Company as no distributors are located in AL. Nice folks and quick shipping.

I usually apply the Fiberglass Cleaner (920) first and then apply the Paste Fleetwax (No. 885).

Great minds think alike Mav. That is exactly how we used to do it on my fathers's boat down at Orange Becah when I was a kid. You can't beat that combination. It kept that gelocoat looking brand new for years. Also being docked under cover helped as well.

Using the fiberglass cleaner is an important step. If you just wash your boat and then slap a coat of wax on it your wasting your time. The wax will not last b/c it is not applied to a clean surface. The fiberglass cleaner removes oxidation and dirt that washing just can't remove. It's more work to do both but the wax will last all season and it will keep the glass looking great for years
