Does anyone have a recommendation for installation of new hardwood floors? Checked the Advertisers but didn't see a hardwood floor specific ad. Thanks in advance.

Funny, I installed about 200 sq. ft. yesterday in my office. How much money you got? :)

stay away from Holman Floors in Alex City- there is a small company on hwy 22 just outside of Alex city and Goodwater. I used both- Holman in 2003 and the other in 2006 during remodel- side by side- smaller company 10 to one - wish I could remember the name, but I cannot- If you cannot locate-contact Cecil Dean with Dean's construction and he can give it to you- good luck..

What was wrong with their work if you care to elaborate.

Supposed to be free-floating floor- used glue in some spots- not all ends of boards matched up - ( spaces )- came back to repair spot and instead of taking up from wall back, just cut patch out with circular saw- wife said if they set foot in our house again she would shoot them. it was a bad job- wrote, called - didn't do any good. Never again!!!!

I can understand your feelings, as that is definately not the way it is done and is a no-no.Problem so many flooring stores have today is the subs used for installation. When the known quality guy is out of pockett, tied up on other jobs etc and the dealer turns to the No. 2 or No. 3 installation group, heshe usually gets burned or has regrets. I use to be in the business and I learned you are better off to let the sale go than try to meet a schedule by using questionable installers.
