Gotta recommend a restaurant for the best fried shrimp I've eaten in years, anywhere. Also, their grilled, blackened, and fried catfish is the best we've had around the lake. Restaurant is Judy's Stagecoach on hwy 34 close to 34/49 junction. Can't recommend the steaks, but the fried shrimp is awesome. Nothing fancy for you high brow folks, but good. Fried food is not greasy like the restaurant just down 49.

I've often wondered about that place because nobody seems to comment on it when we have restaurant threads. Any other comments from our gourmet diners would be appreciated. For instance, what else is good there?

Judy has always done a good job there and has many loyal patrons. I would recommend it when you are on this side of the lake.

Interesting we have the same taste in fried shrimp. We have eaten at Judy's since the late 90's and felt the same about the fried shrimp. Hard to beat. Oskar's is good too but don't know about the fried food there. Usually eat lunch there. Sinclair's has been really good to us recently and the service has been very good as well. It seems whenever Sinclair's is mentioned someone always has got to say something about a bad experience or the high prices. But, where else can you boat to a place, good docks, well maintained, on a beautiful lake and have a good time.

Ditto on Sinclairs. Always enjoy it, even when they are busy.
