News reports this AM said that Tiger Woods has a private force of 90 bodyguards with some of them armed. This should be an interesting Masters. I'll bet that they are instructed to shoot the first person who -
1. yells a "cat calls"
2. Clicks a camera while he is putting
3. asks a question about his love life.

I think most celebrity personalities have armed body guards. I doubt this is anything new for Tiger. Just the presence of an armed guard will be enough to keep people under control.
What is it about our culture and celebrities anyway? I think Tiger deserves compassion at this point. People should leave him alone about his personal life and focus on his golf.

I think they both are victims. Yes, Elin deserves compassion. She deserves to be left alone by the media.
But now that Tiger's been humbled and all his sins have been laid out on the public table, I think he deserves compassion. People lose their way all the time. They deserve a chance to recover.

The only ones needing bodyguards are the cocktail waitresses, lap dancers, porn stars, etc. I suspect his 90 bodyguards are there to make sure he stays away from them. :-)
As for who to feel sorry for, I would never feel sorry for Tiger but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve another chance. Don't confuse the two. I will never have the same respect for him as a person but I am hopeful he will learn from this experience and not repeat his mistakes. I will still admire his golf skills, his dedication to the sport and his work ethic. But a lot of people are talented and work hard but do not deserve our respect or admiration as a person.
As for feeling sorry for his wife, I have seen too many marriages fall apart for a variety of reasons to immediately assume she is entirely blameless for his wandering. None of us will ever know for certainty about that, nor is it really any of our business. If she is blameless she surely deserves our sympathy.
Who I am sure is blameless and deserves our sympathy is their children. Yes I know they will be privileged multi-gazillionaires but we see all the time the abject misery of people that have fame and fortune. They sadly will also be the children of a well known father that acted in a most shameful and despicable way. That is a cross for any child to carry regardless of their financial circumstances.
One thing for sure, I hope and pray that CBS does not overdo the coverage of his return to golf. That will drive me away from watching it.

((The Sun) - Bodyguards guarding Tiger Woods confronted a golf fan and accused her of being his porn star mistress, The Sun reported Wednesday.
The guards shielding Woods on his comeback at the U.S. Masters were given photos of at least a dozen girls with links to the shamed star.
One mistook the attractive fan for X-rated actress and striptease dancer Joslyn James on Tuesday and approached her asking, "Excuse me, ma'am -- are you the stripper?"
The fan was left speechless until the minder realized his gaffe and apologized.

He is a victim of himself. He lost his way. Yes, he is responsible for his actions. Time will tell whether he is really sincere about his recovery. But, I think for now he deserves compassion.

I went and looked at the definition of victim and I suppose looking at it very broadly someone could be a victim of themselves. I guess I have a hard time using the word victim because I always think of innocent and he may be many things, but innocent doesn't come to mind.
As for compassion, I don't know if I can muster that emotion for Tiger but I do agree he deserves a second chance and I suspect he will certainly get it.
