I need a plumber to repair a leak in a toilet tank, and the other issue is sorta like "acid reflux".
In other words, when I wash the clothes, I hear back up sounds from the kitchen sink and half bath....gurgling-type sounds.
Gotta have this look at and repaired by next week end. The clan is coming!!!!

Are you on septic? You may be getting backed up from the ground up and need a pump truck and/or line repairs.

Agree with Ulysses. Had the same symptoms, and when they came to pump the tank they found my field lines were completely clogged with pine roots.

If you dig and repair landscape, about $150 plus materials ($50 est.). If the plumbing contractor has to do all work plus materials and labor about $750-$1000.

Good plumbing ain't cheap and cheap plumbing ain't good.

In my case it is a new system of field lines, and because of the property characteristics and tightening on health codes, will require pumping the effluent uphill to a more remote area....have the perc test complete and the health dept's approval. Waiting on the septic contractor to decide how many zeroes to add to the price....:>(.

The present system still works, just gets cranky when we have a cabin full for the weekend.
