Heard this weeken, that there may be a few more boats over the limit, coming to float in Lake Martin due to the oil spill. Heard the owners were not to concerned about a little fine to pay. Anyone have any input in this.

No comment. but further comment is... If there are no big boats on lake at July 4..there will be no more than the norm. People like to talk about what they are going to do and then..do nothing. Hopefully, they do nothing. We have enough boats on the lake.

I've heard of some headed to the Tennessee River. You can see this lake in a day on a seadoo, why would you want a big boat here. Tennessee River makes sense because the whole world is available to you. Besides, I hear the fines come everytime you leave the dock and they get bigger with each arrest.

I don't think they make one any smaller than a 36 footer.

IDK where yall got 29.6 from. Boats are measured from "the drain plug" to the bow. 30'6" is max. Does not include swim platform or anchor. There are many 34's on the lake, and they are legal. Not to stir the puddin', but that is what is going on. Steve

A Carver 36 is over 38 feet total length and a 38 is over 40 feet; nice boats, but probably not legal under the new law on Lake Martin unless grandfathered....... I guess you can bring the "Cat Boat" over next week.
