Just watched the concert. Excellent!! A very large crowd, despite the lack of other music celebs.
The Sirius Radio coverage is still going strong at 2 hours and counting!!
Interesting. Buffett can bring 35,000 fans to hear, not Rock, and Not Country, but something else entirely.
Go figure??

apparently he still suffers from Bush Derangement Syndrome and blames Bush for the spill in the Gulf. Hey Jimmy, shut the F up and sing!!!! No one cares about your stupid politics and the fact that you can sing and write a song and make ridiculous amounts of money doing something so unimportant does not give you any special insight into the world. And by the way dumba--, most of the people in Alabama, Mississippi and Texas voted for Bush twice. As Michael Jordan put it so well when he was asked to become political....even Republicans buy basketball shoes.

So very cool to see all those people down there. A great success. I hate his political views, but you can't argue with his intentions. Jimmy's a good dude.
That concert was a shot in the arm, and pocketbooks of that entire beach area.

That took care of me as a customer of his music. Maybe old Jimmy should go the way of the Dixie Chicks. At least they could carry a tune.
The last time he got like that was right before he won the grammy. I wondered if that was the price of it...

Being of an advanced age my wife and I uually have captioning on the tv. When Jimmy sang Margaritaville and ad libbed "It's BP's fault" the captions read "It's DC's fault".
Was that a captioning error or a captioner getting revenge on Jimmy's politics???

Great concert and I commend Jimmy for what he did for the Gulf region in this time of need.....those that want to make this particular event a political issue need to get a life.
