I have been in my new home and love lake living however the debris in my cove is not normal. Trees so big, one looks like a telephone pole. I have taken the white Styrofoam and numerous bottles, sneaker, flip flops, old noodles, etc...I  want to know how I can get a lakefront clean up on the agenda before the water starts dragging this garbage back out when the water goes down. It is impossible for one family to deal with every year. Suggestions?? Everybody who comes to visit tells me I should be able to get help some where. My neighbor even has an entire old dock that has floated up to his lake front.

Buy a blue paddle boat. Make a post on this forum that it and dock you mentioned floated up in your slew.
Once it's claimed by a unsuspecting person, pile all the trash and debris on said dock and boat then send it all away with the owners that claim the boat and dock. It's easy.....

How long have you been on the lake and still don't know how to play the game?

Hey NC II...great idea.  However, I acquired a blue paddle boat a couple of years ago and no one claimed it.  You know me, and know that I am not in any shape to manuever a boat without an engine.  After bailing water out of the boat for an entire summer, some kid tried to accuse me of stealing it.  I happily gave him the boat, my ropes used to tie it up for the summer, and a two liter coke (someone left it here) and waved bye to him off the dock as he peddled his butt off to take it home.

I feel for you. We live in a small cove that acts as a toilet, it seems as if the cove is a magnet for all the trash in the lake. I cuss everytime I pick trash, logs, cut-offs from recently installed pilings, pieces of syrofoam from old docks, etc. But I remind myself each time it is a priviledge to so, small price to pay to be so lucky to live on the lake. I could be picking up beer cans on the side of the road instead.

Note both sides of the road as you drive to your place. I'd wager there's trash all along the sides. Littering doesn't seem to be a big deal to many folks. It's too bad.

You probably have a southeast exposure to the prevailing winds or a current. That's just the way it is. Every lake lot has it own beauty and its own problems.

Wait till the water goes away, pile it all up and burn it. Repeat anually.
