I don't know what the boat count was but to my eyeballs it seemed at least 60% or so of last year. There were a lot of folks out there. A lot more than expected, and a good show to Sea Ray that LM can pack 'em in, even without the Signature Event Status.
I tried to hook up with the forum crowd - we ended up anchoring kinda far out, and swimming in to the dance area, (dragging 2 kids in tube) but had a great time. Hopefully we will get another chance soon to raft up with everyone.
I took a little video and pics and will post later.........

Sorry we missed you and I'm glad Leaky made it through the event. I tried to call you soon after you texted but you must have been paddling already. We had a fun time even though we couldn't hear much back where we were anchored...big flotilla with the families of Mav, Rude. NCII, BoatsRfun, makaygmc, Jim Dandy, Summer Place, Webmaster, myself, and 3 or 4 other forum lurkers. I also got to meet Rooster and 4lakelivn for the first time. I think the event was a big success.

The most fun we had in the forum flotilla was watching the Marine Police nailing the idiots that did not know what a no wake zone was. And there were a bunch of them. I was amazed at it.
They should have hung the no wake sign from the bridge again this year.
Maybe that would have helped..... Good to have seen you all.

yeah thanks for the calls and texts, Ulysses and nc2. The swim trip up and back took longer than expected but was a lot of fun. I think next year I am going to spring for a sponsored spot so that I can have a secure anchor location, then get one of those sit on top kayaks to transport people / materiel back and forth from the outliers in a faster fashion. Also am going to come up with some sort of identifier to put on top of the boat so that people can see us, like a light up "voice" microphone?
We ended up anchoring up, throughout the day, with 3 total stranger boats but it was fun to meet new people. One of them was a pure boater that visits a lot doing day trips from Columbus. Another was a family with a lakehouse that lives in Montgomery, and they 2nd home it for 3 or 4 days every week during the summer. Another was a couple that used to own a lakehouse but now they visit, also from Georgia. A great mix of folks.

Can you find the forum group on any of the photo as some of us where there at 3:00 and tried to locate us in the photos but the smaller ones (wider angle) were too hard to identify the boats.
As have a photo from last year and wanted to add another one for this year.
Lets see if you photoshop classes have paid off, locate us then zoom in and then circle the group and post photo - LOL. Good to see you on Saturday, great photos !!!!

Yes,,,,, we area on a bunch of them.....
Like this one.. I would like some of the un-compressed versions so I can zoom in on us.
You can see the white Bimi of the Event HoriXon very well in many of the photos.

Good eye. That was early on in our party and before many got tied up....you were still trying to get an anchor down and figure out what to do with the thug boat.
