I'm looking for a contractor who installs concrete seawalls. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Probably still the most expensive and they do decent work, but there are others that will do a top quality job for considerably less. Shop around. I'm on the road, but if you send me an email reminder Thursday or Friday I'll give you a few numbers.

you may want to consider natural stone...We did that at my dads house for about the same money as concrete and it looks awesome.

Why not use vinyl? Looks better, has a 50 year warranty and doesn't damage boats or pwcs that come in contact with it.

I'll second the stone suggetion. Even if you think the rip-rap stands out too much initially, after a few years it blends much more nicely than any seawall and if done properly with enough stone you won't care about any warranty - it will literally last longer than the dam.

I got three estimates for my driveway. The first was $7700 the second $7600. Both of those guys showed up on the scheduled day for the estimate. Three weeks later Henderson and Coker showed up to do thier estimate, $15,600. After I got done laughing at him I asked him did he just not want the job. He assured me he did, even offering a 10% discount if I signed THAT DAY. When I told him of the other two estimates he said when I hired them I got their 'name' with it. HAHA. It is concrete, there are guys out thier with 3rd grade educations that work with it every day. Another interesting aside, both of the other guys did nothing more than step it off and came to the same yardage and money. The H&C guy spent the better part of an hour measuring and ciphering to arrive at his quote. This was in 2001. I am sure they more reasonable now.

Are they the guys who built the golf cart path to nowhere at Willow Point?  Wonder what that cost?

I have no problem with rip-rap, but here is what I meant about a natural stone sea wall.

Very Nice. I bet you had a hand to hand experience in some of what was pictured.
