Read an article in the Journal about Japanese companies adopting English as their business language - meetings, correspondence, etc. I used to work for the US sub of a German company, and they had the same policy. When are these folks going to catch on that they need to be adopting Spanish or the language de jour like the US?
Italian companies with contracts for new plant designs in China do everything in one language - English. Spanish is not the second language of choice. Yet, this country continues to press for a combination of English and Spanish. Soon, we'll be like mainland China and Formosa - both speak two dialects of Chinese.Oh Well! His Excellency, Hugo Obama, knows best.
