of a business on the Dadeville side that will do seamstress (sewing) work on a Pontoon bimini top? Just need some moderate work on the corners and around the snaps. Have you personally used them? Thanks.

Try Hayward Clanton on 280 at the Buck Creek Bridge.  You may not like his work, but he's entertaining.

There is a dry cleaner and shoe shop in the shopping center near Jim Bobs in A-Town. They do sewing work. Just make sure they don't use cotton threads.

Check with Margie at 334.415.8144.  She is in Reeltown and did some work for me last year on my pontoon cover.  They also do upholstery and fiberglass work.

Tell them to stress it for 20 MPH, so you don't tear it off doing 12 like you did yesterday (LOL)

If you don't mind going to Opelika, you could get the job done by Southern Upholstery. They are on the county road that runs from Glenn in Auburn to Tiger Town. I was very satisfied the two times they worked for me.

Thanks to one and all for you suggestions...........I called Margie in ReelTown and on very short notice she was able to get my top sewed back up and back on the lake. Good job too.

And U.E. McGill.................no more cracks 'bout my speed...........how many of your P/T friends can go fast enough to rip out the corners of their bimini top!!

Same here.............you have to agree it was a bad day for working and a good day for visiting lake friends! B-T-W, I told you there was something different about my engine.......wasn't sounding right.........when I got back put it on the lift and checked out my prop..........I  found the reason.........about a third of one of a blades on a 3 blade prop had broken off! Time now to consider whether to replace with a 3 or a 4 blade. I've read somewhere that a 4 blade with less pitch was preferred to a 3 blade on a P/T. Any opinions?
