Guess I must be the last person to find out about open hunting season on Geese! I was shocked this afternoon when a camoflauged boat fired and killed a Goose right out from my dock! I live in a slough that might as well be a culdesac! I called the wildlife and game folks and they said that as long as they are 100 yds away from your home it's OK to shoot them. They were way closer than that, but that is beside the point. I don't have a problem with hunting but not where I swim and boat. It's dangerous!

I wouldn't want hunters shooting that close to my house either, but I won't miss the goose.....however, they better not shoot Larry's ducks!

better stay away from Pam's ducks. My feelings towards the "GOOSE" is another matter. They are one of the worst eenvironmental things to happen to the lake.

Hey neighbor. Do you have big plans for this weekend. I am making seafood gumbo. I just hope it's good.

In all fairness to us on the eastern side of the lake on Blue Creek, we should be represented at any tasting that goes on over there!!

If I could find a crew, I would be there to help in the tasting.
I may need to slink around some bars and knock someone over the head and Shanghai em.

I just talked to Larry and it seems he  will have 35 family testers tomorrow so I guess we aren't needed this time around. I just fired up my egg for some burgers if anyone wants one....better hurry though, cause they will be done in about 30 minutes.

Something is wrong with this picture. Goose season does not open until the 25th of September, unless I''m missing something..  If there are shooting geese now and you informed DNR without a response, I must wonder what's up??
