I believe that there are several pictures of Michelle Obama that, if she were not Obama's wife, would prohibit her from being admitted to the WH!!!!!!!

Medal of Honor Veteran's Family Denied WH Tour Because of Shorts

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The White House is apologizing for turning the family of a Medal of Honor recipient away from a tour last week because the late veteran's 10-year-old grandson was wearing shorts.

White House officials blamed a misunderstanding and have apologized to Heidy Baker and Vernon Pawlik, the widow and grandson of veteran Vernon Baker, who was buried last weekend at Arlington National Cemetery.

Baker, the last surviving black Medal of Honor winner from World War II, lived since the 1980s in a valley near St. Maries, Idaho, about 50 miles east of Spokane, Wash. Baker died at home July 13 from complications of brain cancer at age 90. He was buried Friday.

Baker received his overdue honors from President Bill Clinton at a 1997 White House ceremony.

We don't know who did the denying, and I rather doubt Obama or Michelle were personally at the gate saying someone in shorts couldn't come in.

You may recall that President Bush tighted up the dress code at the WH during his Administration and it is said that he never went in the oval office without a coat and tie. This was a backlash from Clinton years.

In all fairness, as much as I wish it were not the case - the White House is their residence for now. I will give them a pass on wearing casual attire.

What about the dress that looked like a pinata when the Spains Prime Minister came to visit. Barbara Bush, Hillary and Laura Bush all had 1 assistant as First Lady. You would think one of Michelle 23 that she has on her staff would tell her she looked like a fool.

Hillary definitely had her wardrobe "moments" too. I think that Laura Bush really represented the very best of the recent First Ladies. She always looked appropriate and elegant.

Michelle gets a lot of press about her strong personal style, and I think as a result she ends up a victim.

"personal style" Is that a euphemism for “dress for a rap concert when you are going to the opera?”

“In yo face” is grating on the nerves of the heartland populace. They expect professionalism and decorum from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. They (we) aren’t getting that. Instead we get arrogance masquerading as diplomacy and public awareness. This arrogance is manifested in the way they dress and their schedule priorities (golf, vacation, etc). Though overused, the expression “let them eat cake!” is apropos.

We want the stately ambience of our primary residence and residents returned to our nation. Not only the world is watching… but, God is watching!
