I am really excited to help CATBOAT announce that Cathouse Marine is opening an additional location - one just a stone's throw from Lake Martin!!
Please see my announcement post below, and a short video from CAT himself.
I know that I am one of many of his "fans" here on the forum and in real life around the lake area, and we are glad to have him a good bit closer to the water.
He will continue to operate his Prattville location, also. But if your boat is at Lake Martin and you need a winterization, some trouble shooting, or any other work done, please give him a call. We have long been on the receiving end of his free yet GOOD advice, so let's support his move to Lake Martin!!
I thought it pretty appropriate to drop the news here since so many grape viners had already been suspecting as much....

Thanks, and support from Lake Martin has been wonderful for us over the years, even though we are many miles away. I enjoy answering questions, and addressing challenging situations. You all are my friends. As of now, we are talking to local citizens that are not employed, and capable of serving the local Lake Martin residents according to our standards. Maybe we can offer several jobs to the community. We realize, this is the slowest, worst time of year for business start up! I ask for your support now, more than ever! I have read and spoken with many, that you all wanted a local and personal dealer, service center. I will provide that to you, hands down! We have about five months to lay the groundwork, and put systems in place before spring. Meanwhile, I must keep employees busy at our New Lake Martin facility. ANY and all business is greatly appreciated. I plan to start moving boats for sale on the showroom asap! Just watch for the truck. lol. If you have your boat for sale, we would like to consign it for you, at no charge. We are excited to become part of your community, and your summer home. WOW, without your past support, and information, I don’t think this would have happened. Thanks to you, John C. for your hard work. And, thanks to the Lake Martin Community for support for all this time. We are yours now! Thanks to all of you! Lake Martin is great, and Lakemartin.com is second to none. We will be around this weekend getting ready. (in and out) If you are close by, please stop. Yea, we are nerveouse, but if you come by, it will be easier. Hand shakes and hugs welcome. LOL. Congratulations and good luck on the new location. I have stolen some of your boat repair suggestions you kindly posted on the Boat Maintenance forum.
I know there is a slue on the east side of the bridge that I think touches your property. Will you have boat launch-take out capability at the new store?
I can almost walk to your new location. My equipment breaks often. Nice to be able to tow or row to a repair shop.

I like so many of you on this board have met Steve and hauled my boat from Lake Martin to Cathouse Marine for service and repair. It is a hard hours drive but worth it for the quality and speed with which they operate. The new location is now only about 4 miles from my place. Welcome to the neighborhood Cathouse Marine. Spread the word.

this is great ... I have a trim problem on my pontoon ... I have it in dry storage at the ridge right now, but will bring it in the spring since I dont trust them to work on it. who do i ask for?

Dee Dee.....she will probably be in Prattville guarding the origional Cathouse, but she's a lot better looking than Steve and it's worth a shot.
