Absolutely priceless and why Sharron Angle losing to Reid along with Pelosi staying in the leadership may be the best thing that has happened to the GOP since Ronald Reagan.  While real unemployment hovers around 17%, foreclosures are on the rise and ready to explode in numbers, the Fed is printing money like mad fools and deficits have risen from an annual average of $161B under Bush to over $1T under Obama/Reid/Pelosi, Harry Reid thinks the American people give a flying flip whether some gay person in the military can tell others they are gay.  Great concept of priorities there Harry.  I am sure independents and socially conservative Dems are just gonna flock to you in 2012 with that move.

Absolutely perfect.  Keep this up and Obama will be a one-termer, the GOP will get control of the Senate and the rest of the Blue Dogs will either get ejected in 2012 or have to switch to the GOP to stay in office.  Meanwhile we will soon have adults in charge of the House and they better do what the electorate sent them there to do.  Repeal and replace Obamacare, prevent the biggest tax increase in the nation's history and reduce the size and scope of the federal government in order to get deficits under control.

I wish they would leave don't ask, don't tell alone.  In another generation, it will be moot and will go away on its own.  I know Obama promised gays, but really, is this the most pressing agenda item?  NO.

This is exactly the kind of special interest politics that get both parties in trouble.  Reid is a complete fool.....and I love him for it.  The more we see of him and Nancy the more I am optimistic about 2012.

Did you happen to see Larry Sabato's take on Obama being a one-termer?  I have gotten to the point where I would not be surprised if he sees the writing on the wall that he cannot win and goes the LBJ route.  More likely, those around him used to the power and perks of the WH will convince him to run and we will see a challenge from the far, far left by Kucinch and/or Feingold.  If that happens then history is indeed repeating itself and he will lose the general election.

I recently read an essay by someone (can't remember who) that laid out an argument for Obama electing not to run in 2012, for the good of the country.  Unfortunately, I can't see that happening.  It's just not a Washington thing.
