This morning, "The Donald" Trump said that he is considering a run in 2012.  Now, while everyone may smirk about this -- consider that he is a self made millionaire, who has lost his fortune twice and built it back.  He is well acquainted with the international community, and the "global" economy.  I assume he must know something about economics.  And he likely won't let himself get bogged down in the social issues.  He says he'll run as Republican.

While I am skeptical is Trump is the right man for the WH, I am pleased to see that someone from the business community thinking about stepping up to the plate.  You may not like his personality or his ego, but I suspect he would make an interesting candidate.

This could all get pretty interesting.

Interesting, but Meg Whitman's experience is less than encouraging....and she has better hair.

Hound, will he run as a Republican, Democrat or Independent?  As for his losing and making fortunes, it is way more complicated than that.  He has had literally dozens of real estate LLC's declare bankruptcy and not just his personal fortune.  I don't think he has a clue as to the microscope he will be put under and it will not be a pleasant experience.  He would be a fool to run for President but its a free country and its his money.

He has absolutely zero chance of getting the nomination.  Take that one to the bank.....

LOL, what more could be said about him that hasn't already been said by Rosie O'Donnell.  I think she has called him every shade of a red-headed step child.

You've got to love a man that buys Marjorie Merriweather Post's mansion in Palm Beach, gets ticked off because he is not accepted by the old money, and turns the house into a spa/resort.

Yes, he certainly knows the economics of running a business..... raise capital, run the business into the ground, file bakruptcy and start the whole process all over again. Just what we need in the White House. I don't believe I have ever witnessed a more arrogant individual. Just looking at him and, that rediculouse "comb-over," nauseates me. Jeeezzzeee... with all that money, can he at least come off the hip for a decent haircut? He doesn't have a chance regardless of party affiliation.

that's a "signature" do.  I agree he won't have a much of a chance, but he'll make it interesting.  He's never known to hold back.

There is always Nick Saban. I understand he got more write ins in Alabama elections than anyone else.

He probably couldn't afford the cut in pay though.
