which I find out just means he will be publicly admonished on the Floor. This supposedly is one step lighter than expulsion.

I agree - seems a pointless exercise. These days you are a nobody if you haven't vomited up some insipid public "apology" for the various sins you are caught committing.... I can't see his life changing much. Is there any requirement in this "punishment" to right the wrongs he has been found guilty of?

Well, he will have to pay his taxes (imagine that) and pay the fines.

I loved his little speech about how he is 82 and doesn't know how much longer he will live, but he really wants to serve....

I have to say that this angers. I'm not to the point yet where I'm going to shoot the TV (like the guy in Wisconsin) but I'm close. They ought to put him out to pasture and then prosecute him for his tax violations.
