"MSNBC says it's suspending morning host Joe Scarborough for two days without pay for making political contributions to four Republican candidates. MSNBC president Phil Griffin said today that Scarborough's eight donations for $500 apiece violate NBC News policy. He says Scarborough will return to the "Morning Joe" anchor desk Wednesday. In a statement, Scarborough apologized to the network. But he added that because the contributions were for local Florida races, he had not understood the NBC News policy applied."

I also read that they were family members. One was his brother and I cannot remember the other relatives.

I'm sorry GF but this is just plain stupid. What could possibly be the objective of this rule? To somehow try to demonstrate that pMSNBC on-air personalities are above partisan politics?!?!? Give me a break. pMSNBC is overhelmingly left wing with the exception of one RINO, Joe Scarborough. They are who they are and that is OK by me since they seem to want to accept mediocrity in the ratings game in exchange for ideolgical purity. More power to them as we see how that worked out for Airhead America.
You want real fair and balanced try Fox News. They don't have a sham, meaningless rule about political donations. They recognize that information is available by law to anyone that wants it so if you want to check out who Hannity or Beck or O'Reilly or Juan Williams for that matter gave to you can. And if it offends you don't watch. But as you can tell day in and day out, week in and week out and month and year, people don't care and watch FoxNews way more than all the other competition combined.

Martini, fix yourself a drink and sit down. Now calm downnnnnn, I was merely showing that MSNBC suspended the RINO as well as the Lib. To me, that is Fair and Balanced. I was not passing judgement on FOX vs MSNBC. Actually, I watch O'Reilly and some of those blondies that do the news. I am a Fair and Balanced person..........
Today, Ii was driving to the airport and was listening to your Patron Saint Rush. I drove by the highway and did not realize it for 12 miles. Had to turn around and my daughter was sitting outside the airport alone waiting for her lost dad all because of a wing nut. NOW. that is Fair and Balanced..

Now, now GF, I wasn't at all exercised when I posted. Just commenting on the stupidity of pMSNBS. Believe me, the last thing I would assume is that the management of nBS would pick on a leftist versus a RINO. They may be fair but they are also imbalanced if they think this rule can somehow compensate for their all too obvious ideological bias.
As for your missing an exit, I have a client that always seems to call me with something important while I am driving and I am famous, with her anyway, for missing my exit or getting lost while talking to her. By the way, out of curiosity you don't happen to have a vanity plate that says GonFshn or something similar do you? I was behind an SUV on Jett Road a couple of weeks ago and was wondering if that was you.

That was not me. I saw someone in a Bentley convertible last month and said to my wife "I wonder if that is Martini from the forum". Her response was " if that wing nut owns that Bentley than we should become wing nuts". There is still hope.

Too bad as I am sure it would have been a memorable meeting. "Why is that crazy man trying to get us to pull over?" The plate was on a nice, new Honda Pilot although it was not a hybrid so I should have known it wasn't you. :-)
Sadly I don't drive a Bentley. I own a used Lexus LS430 from the year that immediately preceded the new body style (2006?). I can't seem to force myself to buy a new car as I like someone else to pay for that initial depreciation. However, the last two Honda Odyssey's I bought for my wife were new. Of course we drive cars to death and she only has 135,000 miles on her van so she has a ways to go before I have to travel the dreaded path of new car purchase.
Tell your wife we would love for her to convert to the dark side......you however must stay with the enemy so we can have interesting and entertaining banter on the forum.

Acturally, I am close to being the world's only redneck "socialist" as I drive a truck. The wifey drives the Liberal Limo ...a Subaru Outback.
