To the Sarah Palin' haters like Jellyfish ... it must kill them to see the following that she has and what a strong genuine person she is. All the liberal cretics, watching her every move, because they are sooo scared of her, said the show would flop ... but nope ... 5 million viewers. 2nd highest ever on TLC. Score another one for Sarah as Obama continues to go down in flames..

I love what Barbara Bush said about her:

"I sat next to her and thought her to be a beautiful woman.  She really loves Alaska.  I think she should stay there."

Gotta love Barbara Bush.

-Like many others, I watched Sarah Palin's Alaska. -I thought it was a great commercial for Alaska. -However, I thought it was even a greater commercial for Sarah Palin the woman. -I consider myself, politically, to be an independent. I fail to understand why many of my more liberal friends do not 1) get her, or 2) dislike her so much, ...and seemingly at such a visceral level. -I neverlike it when I state that I'm against illegal immigration, and these friends call me "racist." Now when I hear them malign Palin, I just say..."I don't understand why y'all are so anti-femenist!" It drives them nuts. -As I've said for some time, when I'm asked if I believe Palin is qualified to be president; my answer is ..."NO, ...but she's more qualified than Obama!"

i agree with you. I am not sure about being ready to be president ... but i do agree she is more ready than Obama ... and felt she was equally as ready as Hillary ... but being secretary of state does make her more ready now. Although I would still take Condi over Hillary as S of S

I would vote for her if she were the Republican nominee and Obama were the Democrat's choice.  I do think there are others more able to lead, but over the last two years and the time between now and when serious campaigning begins, she will have had time to become more knowledgeable in world affairs, the economy, etc., and present more of a presidential presence.  If she doesn't she won't even get the Republican nomination.

I think it interesting that those who claim she is such an ignorant bumpkin feel the need to state it so vociferously.  Makes me think she is more of a threat than they would want us to believe.

And I'd be willing to bet Barbara Bush would have said Obama should stay in Chicago too.....:>)

I really enjoyed the first episode and look forward to the next one.  I recorded it and watched it mid-week not expecting to like it as much as I did.  I was not a Sarah Palin fan on the Republican ticket in 2008 as I thought it only solidified the crowd right of moderate which already had no choice but to either not vote or to vote for McCain.  The Independents and moderates decided the outcome of the last election, and may do the same in the next.  But, I think Sarah Palin is genuine.  I like her.  She could make a good fight for the party nomination.  Liberals hate her because her life is a living testament proving that they are wrong on many social and political positions with respect to conservatism.

I listen to what Governor Sarah Palin says… and I like it.  She represents my ideals.  I vote for the candidates which most represent my ideals.  Don’t you?

People complain about her voice… the way she pronounces Rs and Ss.  These same people did not complain about how sonorous and imperious was John Kerry.  They don’t complain about how arrogant and affected is Barrack Obama.  Gov Palin does not need a teleprompter.

Gov Palin walks the same walk she talks.  Millions upon millions of dollars have been unsuccessfully spent trying to prove the opposite.

Gov Palin is natural.  The opposite of natural is contrived.  I believe we have had enough of contrived.

Gov Palin is both natural AND elegant.  Her handlers have been paying attention to her natural beauty.  Gov Palin’s beauty runs clear to her heart.  What can we say about Pelosi, Hillary Rodham Clinton, or Barbara Boxer?  Recall the saying about ugly?

Gov Palin does not apologize for America.  In the history of nations, there has never been a nation so quick to come to the aid of another, so quick to pour money, logistics, and service into national disasters.  What other nation treats her vanquished we way we treat out defeated enemies?  Gov Palin sees America for what she is.  Gov Plain is a TRUE patriot.

“Momma Grizzlies” – The TRUE feminist movement.  It strikes self-righteous rage in the cynical hearts of women whose ugliness runs clear to the bone.  They see in Gov Palin, those traits, skills, and strengths that they are without.   Momma Grizzlies are about “can-do” women, not women with a list of things they won’t do.

I hear disparagement long on rhetoric – short on facts.  Why are arguments about Gov Palin devoid of substance?  Name a president who was, on first inauguration, MORE qualified than Gov Palin, or one less qualified than Barack Obama. Define qualified and compare and contrast the two.

In 2012, I will vote for the candidate who I feel will best serve our country.  If that turns out to be Governor Sarah Palin, I will not hesitate.

"However, the most impressive thing about her is the fact that she doesn't give up when she sets  out to do something. " That is, except when she was the Gov of Alaska. She was unable to handle the pressure and bailed out. Hope she selects a strong VP candidate so if elected there will be someone qualified to step in when she bails out after a year or two. We are in a sorry state if the best the Wing Nuts can do is nominate Palin when there are other truly qualified candidates to replace Obama.

GF, you don’t know what you are talking about.  BUT, I am not going to set you straight because I feel you need to do your own homework.  SO, you go out and find out the real reason she chose to resign as Governor.  AND THEN, you can come back and put your liberal spin on the real event.

(I am going to reserve this font for addressing only you... if it suits me... because you don't live in the same universe as do I.)

Yes i will vote for the individual that represents my thinking. If Palin is the choice ... I will proudly support her. I was disagreeing with Yankee that she is not ready to be president ... I said "I don't know about not being ready to be president"

First of all I admire her tremendously for what she has accomplished all on her own, unlike so many in politics these days that seem to live off someone else's stature, contacts, money, etc.  I also abhor the way she is treated by the left and the government media and believe it is because she represents a totally different brand of feminism so at odds with current mores.  She is conservative, pro-life, pro-gun, carried a Downs Syndrome baby to term and actually loves her baby, etc.

The question of the Presidency is for me two fold.  One, is she qualified?  Two, can she win?  On the first question there is no doubt in my mind she is way more qualified than the current occupant.  But is she the most qualified of all the GOP candidates that at this point in time seem to be heading toward running?  On that score I can list a number that I believe are at least as qualified, if not more, than Sarah Palin.  So if I look at their conservative views does that change my analysis?  No doubt that shortens the list dramatically.  They may be as qualified (or more so) but they are certainly not as conservative as she is and as I would like.  So I suspect there will be one or two candidates left standing that are nominally as conservative as her and better qualified. If that is the case they may earn my primary vote.

On the question of whether she could win the general election I have mixed emotions.  Granted, any GOP candidate will have to deal with an overtly hostile government media.  But since Newt Gingrich I have not seen another GOP politician that seems to generate so much hostility from the government media.  Maybe Bush 43 in the 2004 election cycle but probably not even then.  My current view is that she and Newt would be too much of a lightning rod and that it is too important that we remove Obama in 2012 more than having the perfect candidate that sees the world exactly as I do.

I realize this will engender the scorn of many and I accept the scorn reluctantly.  In a perfect world I would get the exact candidate I want but we can see what happens to the country when we let the perfect be the enemy of the good.  We get Obama.  That is why I voted for McCain in 2008 and would so again in 2012 if he were the nominee (something I pray will never happen again).  Its why I voted for Bob Dole and would again.  We have seen in spades that those that claim there is no difference between either party are dead wrong.  One is wildly imperfect and the other is a complete train wreck.  Absent the certainty I could get the perfect candidate I will accept imperfect any day over the Democrat party that simply cannot be trusted to govern.

By the way, I have not seen her show but understand it is very good.

Well said!  The mission is to reverse the onslaught of disastrous legislation and policy that hastens our nation’s fate toward that of Greece, Ireland, Portugal, and eventually, Spain, France, and Italy.  We need to restore our Constitution and the Promise of America!  For this purpose, we need a devoted, conscientoius, and competent Commander in Chief.

The mission is not to dance with the perfect star.
