Wow .... what a game! Unbelievable. I was sick to my stomach after the first period. What a come back. Hats are off to the Alabama fans ... they came out to play and took it to Auburn in the first half.

I missed the first half and wonder if the reason AL jumped out to the lead was due to Blanc and Coggins not playing on Auburn's defensive line. The second half was all Auburn with them playing.

It was a great game.   Keep it going Auburn!  We're counting on you for a (state of) Alabama SEC championship!

Great theory, but how do you explain no offensive production for 30 minutes?

I remain amazed at the poise Auburn displays week in, week out.  Truly a very exciting game. Both teams, coaches and schools were winners yesterday.  Now let go make it 5 years in a row!

Reading the papers and other online writeups this morning reveals a disgusting lack of class on the part of the home team fans and the institution.

There have been NO allegations that Cam Newton or Auburn have done ANYTHING wrong.  Having "Take the Money and Run" on the loudspeakers during warmups and a fan throwing fake money at Newton as he exited the field after warmups are just two disturbing examples.  Some folks need to get a life.

First of all I have no dog in this hunt but either Auburn made some great adjustments on both sides of the ball at the half or Alabama went away from what was working to try and hold onto the lead.  One thing  for sure, Auburn is a very well coached team because most would have folded the tent after getting behind 24-0.  I don't think they should count on being able to do that every time.  Either way it was a great game and I am sure a bitter disappointment for Alabama fans and a great boost to Aubrun fans.

As to GF's question, I think having the two suspended players back on defense made a big difference in terms of pressure on the QB and better control of the running game.  Nothing can explain Alabama's defense being stellar in the first half and then giving up so many big plays in the second.

This was an awesome finish. For those who missed it, Nevada tied the game with around 13 seconds left and kicked off. Boise with decent field experience threw a completed pass to the Nevada 15 yard line and missed a field goal. In overtime, Boise took first possession and again missed a field goal on 4th down. Nevada took possession and kicked the winning field goal on 4th down. My theory is that the Boise field goal kicker has not had to kick one under pressure since Boise is such a scoring machine.

It clearly makes Oregon and Auburn in a fight for the national championship. Although Auburn needs to win the SEC championship first. South Carolina has improved, so it will not be a cake walk ... but the momentum from this week should be with them. The sports talking heads felt Boise should be #2 and the National Championship be Oregon v. Boise .... but their loss to Nevada sealed their fate. But I do hate to see such a good team lose that way.

What an appalling lack of sportsmanship.  Really, where are the adults?  You'd think after the Duke fiasco with those Lacrosse players that people would be more sensitive.

Just my opinion, but I believe Boise and TCU would be 1-3 loss teams in the SEC this year....Anyone can speculate, but as Chris Berman says, "that's why they play the game"

One of these days we may get a playoff system....it would solve a lot of speculation problems, and would also give teams from all conferences a real chance to prove themselves.

I agree they would both have losses if they played in a major conference.  I do not agree they deserve anything in the BCS.  BCS schools have invested millions upon millions not just in facilities, but in all numerous sports, professors, cirriculum, etc.  Does their fan base travel well?  After all the auto fills, selection to a BCS game is often decided upon who each bowl thinks will fill all the seats.  All this griping and complaining is about they want the pie without having to have bought the stove first. You want the rewards of being in a BCS game, then get your butt in a BCS conference. Whatever that takes. Water the system down with non AQ's, and see what money is left on the table when bids go out. Bottom line to the stations, it is a product up for sale.
