Driving over Kowaliga bridge and saw to the west a good bit of fire.   Was this a control burn or what?

if he saw fire west of the K. bridge it wouldnt be Wind Creek. If he just saw smoke, it could be Wind Creek blow off.....I'll see if I can see something else burning if I get my pontoon out today or tomorrow.

We were covered in smoke last night in the Parker Creek area, and we would be west of the west he saw from the bridge.  My guess is that Russell probably did some control burning on the 1600 acres between PC and Real Island.  The smoke was suffocating.  I have been waiting for some time for it to be daylight when I get home from work. It was yesterday but no way to be outside.

Also the county was under a "fire watch" warning yesterday. So should they have been doing this?

Yesterday morning on my way to work I passed a couple of RL trucks pulling trackhoes, etc.  to the end of Coosa 2 at the T-road intersection.  it does appear to have been a controlled burn on the "Between the Lakes" property from Parker Creek to the point across from Real Island.  Was smoldering this morning when I came to work.

I thought it would have been a controlled burn.  I came over the bridge at about 8 PM and the land was clearly burning between the north and south shore lines.  Thanks for the info.
