Are you really that ill informed that you think we would shut down the military as part of the partial shutdown of non-essential government agencies? Gee, even GF could not come up with that laugher. You see Archie, Bawney Fwank's so-called point was that we would apparently be letting al Queda off the hook for a time if we "shut down" government. I guess he was trying to say, albeit nonesensically (something libtards come to naturally), that if we allow our government to shut down we are bolstering our enemies. His point was patently stupid because the military is generally unaffected by the shut down of non-essential government agencies and can still kill Islamofascists with impunity.....something I wholeheartedly approve of by the way.
You seemed in your post to be restating his point. Promulgating another's stupidity is never a good idea. Now that to me is the definition of dense.......

Are you people really as stupid as you seem. My point: Al Qaeda has as its first priority the discrediting of democracy in general and representative democracy in particular to prove the superiority of radical Islamic rule. Just what message does the complete breakdown of representative democratic government as, demonstrated by the shutdown of a representative government, send to those in the Middle East, Arab and Islamic world who might be "on the bubble" between western and Al Qaede urgings? Now, perhaps B. Frank wasn't making this point with his question, but I am! I say for the record...you people are even denser than Michelle Bachmann and Sarah Palin combined and squared!!!

Archie, I may have been giving you more credit than you actually deserved for that post. You actually think al Queda will think less of our form of government if we have an occasional battle over budgets and send a few people home for a couple of weeks?!?! Man are you invincibly ignorant and have even less sense than Barney if you really believe that.
Islamofascism is more than just another opinion about what constitutes good governance. They could give a hoot in hades about whether we shut down, whether we use a parlimentary system, whther it takes 60 votes in the Senate to get cloture, etc. They are stuck in the 6th century and have a demented view of modernity and they would love to turn to back the clock and implement Sharia law. They don't need some excuse like this to justify their warped and demented world view. Objectively anyone with half a brain can see the vast benefits of a truly representative republic based on Judeo-Christian ethics over Islamic rule and yet that has no bearing on their actions or their beliefs.
Honestly Archie, I will admit to being dense in that I never would have conceived of something so patently silly and I really gave you too much credit in thinking you were just parroting Barney Frank's stupidity. That line of thinking is beyond amazing.......it makes absolutely no sense, zero, nada......

No you idiot, of course I don't think anything the US gov't does make one bit of difference as to what Al Qeada thinks about our government, but if our gov't does something REALLY stupid such as being so hung up on sticking to ideology that we actually allow our democratically elected representatives to "shut the gov't down" it gives these ragheads the "I told you so" argument to sway more pea brains to follow their lead away from western ideas. Gee Archie, I didn't know you wanted my input so much. I assumed that was just for you and Hound and I didn't want oto be accused of trolling. But now that you asked:
1. I don't watch Meet the dePressed. I go to Church on Sunday mornings.
2. I can only imagine your surprise that a politician went on a show to get a message across and ignored questions. That is apparently a bipartisan strategy.
3. I would love for you to point where I said any politician is my hero. The people of her district voted for her and frankly I would be much more ashamed of Bawney Fwank or the guy, probably from your district that thought Guam was going to sink, or the one that asked if we could see the U.S. flag on Mars still or whatever.

WW, Archie really can't help himself. Unlike GF, who has a sense of humor and is sometimes clever, Archie is just what you said, a typical liberal. When faced with facts that oppose their slanted opinions they rant. When faced with opinions based on facts that oppose their viewpoint, they rave. When faced with both they resort to insults. But I don't mind. I actually enjoy skewering Archie to the point where he is foaming at the mouth, banging on the keyboard and so angry he doesn't even stop to read what he typed and correctly type in lemming. I try to do it with humor because that only makes him more incensed. I would recommend an anger management course for him because I worry about his blood pressure but that would be a waste of time. He is comfortable in his liberal anger and resentment. But if I were wrong all the time I too would be angry and resentful......

I know how you feel but I just can't help myself. It is one thing to be ignorant and inquisitive but another to be ignorant and arrogant. I just have a hard time not responding to him with facts and logic, the eternal enemies of liberalism. I know I should feel bad but he just keeps coming back for more until it is hopeless and then he gets really irritated and mean.
