I am curious as to if anyone has, or knows anyone with bulk compost for sale or to give away. I am in need of a fairly large amount, between 10 to 20 cubic yards. I have a truck, and may have access to a dumptruck, but if anyone could help on a source, that would be fantastic, thanks!

You might find out who supplies Home Depot with Mushroom Compost. That stuff is packaged by companies that assemble the materials from the growers - and chicken houses if you are lucky. Also check with your county agent. He should know of a source since you don't need too much. What'cha growing?

I have checked with the county extension offices in lee, elmore and macon, but to no avail, I know where I can get some that is great, and perfect, but they want an arm and a leg for it, like 135 a yard, and that is insane IMO. I am growing many different heirloom tomatoes, some okra, corn, peas, squash, watermelon, tomatillos, radishes, maybe carrots, and herbs. We have used the bed the last few years with some success, but the soil needs to be amended and I am a little late, but its going to happen. Already have the seeds starting to sprout, and I cant wait to get the fruits from them. Thanks for the help.

I am trying to keep everything organic, so thats why I really want a nice shipment of some decent compost. I should have my soil sample results any day now. I have not tried that place and will in a few minutes to see what they have to offer, thanks for the advice!

That sounds perfect, I will have to check them out. I am into sustainable agriculture, but the land where I am planing is very new to having things grown, which makes things interesting. My parents have planted it the last 2 years, and it is getting to be a better quality soil, but I am planting a semi large garden this year, and want to bring in the right materials. I work Saturday mornings, but not until 9 so as long as I get there around 8 I should be fine, thanks for the advice!
