I'll be moving to the area around May 1. I know it's early but I'll be looking for fresh produce this summer. I would particularly like to find a place that I can buy or pick fresh beans and peas for freezing and canning. Does anybody know of some places?

There is usually some folks that set up right behind the Red Barn near the Pell City Civic Center. And I heard that Pell City was going to have a place set up in town for a farmers market but I don't know where. Local produce is usually pretty easy to find. By the time you get here, the Publix will be opening soon as well. I think I heard somewhere around June. Welcome to Paradise! What part of the lake will you be on? Peace, <>< TC

Your going to be in a great area BSIRRATT, I am almost directly across the lake on the Talladega side and we have friends in Cumberland Cove and all around you. If I can help with anything or answer any questions about this end of the lake let me know.

During the spring,summer, and fall, there is a produce stand next to Fat Man's Bar-b-que. Pell City also has a farmers market on Wednesdays near the Pell City Post office. I live directly across the lake from you and also know 2 of the families in Cumberland Cove. Welcome to the lake. As you have already found out, there is a wealth of information here.
