Goofy (AKA GF, Fishy) has no intellectual courage… he is a drive-by shooter, with blanks in his “weapon”.
Hound, on the other hand, puts on her big girl panties and smokes the opposition. Hound has a pair… Goofy does not. Whether we agree with Hound, or not, She hangs in with the big dogs… Goofy is under the porch with the crickets.
Working the rings of the 5 sided asylum is an eye openner and has a tendency to test ones stamina. Maybe we don't agree with her perspective. But, that doesn't belie her institutional knowledge. The puzzle palace did teach Hound how to be bullet proof... she seems to be able to take a spear with the best of us.

Thank you for your vote of confidence. I try to be intellectually honest. I've been known to change my mind over time.
H-Hob, I'm not sure why you have it in for me because I worked in the Pentagon. Have I been snarky to you? Yes, I have when you have attacked my credibility based on my experience. I'm sorry you don't like the Pentagon; the best I can tell you is not to get a job there if you feel that way. The thing is, I did work in the Pentagon on a service staff (Army) and in OSD. You have experiences there that are different than other places. You see things -- some good, some disgusting. It's a real dog-eat-dog environment, and not all that pleasant most of the time. I've seen things there that have made me very cynical; but I've always seen people there who were committed and trying very hard to do the right thing.
So what you see as me dripping with attitude-- well, I worked in Washington for almost 20 years. It isn't that it makes be better, but it does make me different than most of you. I'd like to also remind you that I started my career in the field, so I have a pretty good idea of that perspective too. It's a different world.

Tell her you have a PhD and 2 Masters. You do not work. "Obama Money" comes every month.
Since you didn't live in Washington, you don't have the "Washington Experience" that qualifies you to be the final authority on all subjects on the forum. But, you have a friend who is a Psychiatrist now after being committed to Bryce. That is the "Bryce Experience". If TH ever needs help, your friend is available and she can use her Obamacare card.

Keep it up. I like the different perspective. Makes me rethink myself which I feel is good and is what I believe is a critical part of this country. When we cannot have divergent views, we are finished.

You see, H-HOB, I actually worked there. Why is that such a problem for you? I have to use "me" and "I" because I can only represent myself and say what I think or what I know or have observed. Pentagon? It's just a building. But it's where policy gets made. I'm sorry you don't resent that.

I have a right to my views, even when you or others don't agree with them. I think it is more along the lines of you and a couple of others wanting to make the rules and it frustrates you when some of us don't fall in line. I think the problem is yours.
But, you can always put me on "ignore" and you won't have to see my posts at all. How's that for a policy...

You don’t like Hound’s perspective? Good! Point-counter-point is worthless if there is no opposition. But, I’ll bet sometimes you do agree with one of her points (even tho’ she’s not a pointer). And, I’ll bet you have a tiny private celebration when we solicit agreement from her.
I had little stomach for the attitude rich environment of the Pentagon (As a major, I would have been allowed to make coffee). But, aren’t we all glad that somebody has the intestinal fortitude to endure the stress of that place.
