A short while back Huffington bought AOL.  An already left-leaning organization, I suspected AOL would veer far left, and unfortunately I may be right.  Bring up the URL...decide for yourself.

You have it backwards. AOL bought Huffington for $315million. You can't have all right wing nut sites. Man, you need some that are truly fair and balanced. The greatness of our country is the freedom to post opinions that you don't agree with. Hope you and the family are doing well.

Believe you may be right on which fish ate which minnow -- point to be made is they are one group now.  I absolutely agree the left is just as free to express their opinions as the right, but in this case the piece was presented as a news item and should have been under the "opinion" column.

What really bothers me is the ease with which the Democrats - and the left loonies on MSNBC and the like - just flat out lie.  Their lies prey upon the fears of the poor and seniors. They must not have a conscience.

But, honestly, isn't that where this is going? I do think that is the ultimate objective -- to do away with both Social Security and Medicare. Maybe not all at once. I don't read Huffington Post or AOL, and beyond Morning Joe, I don't watch MSNBC. But when I listen to Republican politicians, that's what I hear. Future generations won't have either. But, maybe that isn't a bad thing as long as they know far enough in advance to make preparations.

...would be privatized social security accounts where the federal government could not get its corrupt hands on the money... and, where a decent rate of return could be earned.  Invest in that part of the nation which produces.
