Absolutely agree. Missions like this don't go down without leadership from the top. Hats off to the SEALs and to all of their leadership, all the way up to the Commander in Chief.
Too bad there are opportunists on this forum who look for anthing, even something this special, to score political points. This was a United States of America action pure and simple, not Democratic, not Republican, not liberal, not conservative.
Did you see and hear what went on outside the White House? That was special. .

How about you admitting that what provided the information that allowed Obama make the decision to go forward with the operation came from what Bush set up in his war on terror ... and without it ... this never would have been possible.
ie: agressive interrogation at GITMO (that Obama ordered closed, but never did) and the Patriot Act (that Obama was against before becoming president, then renewed).
Now we all can agree this was a great day for america and Obama had to give the order and we are thankful he did ... but for the sake of real unity for america, you should also give credit to who established the war on terror that provided the intell to Obama.

It appears that was the case. It was from Kalid Mohammed, who later then said that the courier wasn't important (so they knew he was).
GWB, as well as Obama deserve a lot of credit for the death.
I admit that I thought that the waterboarding was wrong. But, I've been applying Western thinking to a Middle Eastern problem. And I'll be the first to admit that I've been wrong about this.
I still don't know about Gitmo. I just wonder how we will ever be able to shut it down, until we have tried everyone that we have held there. We're paying for them to be there. But hopefully they will set up special "express" military tribunals and get the job done.
Today, I'm more interested in seeing what we do about Pakistan.

To both Bush and Obama on this one. As much as I dislike Obama, he gave the "go ahead." Took alot of guts, in my opinion. And Bush's take on Gitmo was, and is, right on. My praises for both on this one.

Did not think you would ... this proves you can only see things through your rose colored glasses. You want everyone to praise the messiah, yet you can never look at the big picture and give credit where it is do. Fortunately the rest of the world can ... just watch the news.
