Had my neighbor tell me that someone stole his non motorized fishing boat.  Some neighbors saw the people pull up to it and just take it like it was theirs.  I promise the folks that looted it from his tornado struck boathouse a one way pass straight to hell.  If you observes anyone taking things out of the lake near our houses that were struck, please just jot down AL numbers on the boat.  This will help to find the folks who think if it is floating it is theirs.  BRUCE.. CAN YOU PUT ANOTHER FORUM TOPIC ON THE BOARD TITLED "LOST AND FOUND"  This will aid folks find their missing items that have drifted away from our homes.  Thank you to all who have helped in our area with the damage..

That is my boat in the post. It was a 10.2 ft polymer "Bass Hound". It was grey. The folding seats were not on the boat at the time. The boat was not registered since it did not have a motor. A witness said that the looter was in a Skandy-White aluminum boat with a orange stripe down the side. He said that the boat was taken in broad daylight. He assumed it was the owner. I made a written report with the Sheriff's department. If you know the boat and/or owner you can call the Sheriff's department or me at 256-825-1841. I will keep your identity secret. It was not a valuable boat, but looters need to be identified and prosecuted.

I saw a boat like you describe on Saturday in a slew somewhere near Boardwalk. It was floating amongst a bunch of busted up wood from houses.   I didn't look to see if it was tied.   I just assumed that it belonged to one of the houses that got hit in the area.  I will retrace my steps to see if  it is still there.   If it is I will post.  If it is not tied I will tie it up.

I found 4 black floats floating in the main channel of the river.  I tied them together and tied them to a tree on the island between Windemere and the Boardwalk areas.   I really did not know what to do with them but thought they should be gotten out of harms way.

Kizma, My boat was tied up to some pilings on our slough north of Blue Creek. We're exactly opposite Chuck's Marina on the other side of Blue Creek. If you see my boat again, give me a call at 850-516-2782. My home phone is out of order for the forseeable future along with cable and internet. It's bad to face losses due to a natural disaster, and then have someone steal your stuff. I'm sure there are others like myself. Thanks for the response. Rhett
