I haven't seen many animals in the Windermere/Windover area since the storms? Does anybody have any expertise in that subject? What probably happened to all the wildlife in the storms area? Also, just learning about those feisty little Martins? Will there be more than one "crop " of them in a season? Mine have come and gone! Earlier, we found a lot of different kinds of baby birds on the ground.

I would expect a lot of the wildlife moved prior to the storm.  I've had a cat that is still mostly feral.  She was already down in her safe area prior to our going downstairs at the warning siren.  Did the same thing with the hail storm few years back.
Given all the acivity since then, imagine they have taken up residence nearby. Deer can be quite close to us, but do like a buffer area to move around through. Years of hunting, read alot of articles.  Not sure if true, but one said for every deer you see, 10 see you.

Good question. We have noticed the same in the Oakachoy area. We are just now beginning to see a few turkey. The deer seemed to of disappeared. Of course the pesky squirrels are still around.

Very few hummers too. A lot less than last year... Anybody else find baby birds abandoned? Haven't seen one turkey or deer since the storm.

Our lovely Bluebirds have nested under our deck for 7 years. Nowhere to be found this year. Very disheartened.

We had a pair of blue birds in one of my gourds this year, and they raised a brew. Now the purple martins are there. Two weeks ago, I spotted a mother turkey with a bunch of chicks following her across Coosa 20. There must of been a dozen litte chicks. I was quick enuff to slow down for them to complete the crossing but not quick enuff to get an accurate count. Otherwise, no deer and only a couple of other turkeys. We have a few hummers, but as the other poster stated not nearly as many as last year.
