Subject:   Is Lake Martin becoming a third world community?
Date:   6/24/2011 8:16:15 AM

The summer and the past summer have shown an increased amount or third worldisms at the lake. 1. What use to be single family homes are becoming multi-family dwellings. Just ride around the lake on a weekend and you will see, house designed for single families with 20 cars parked in the yard (overnight) and wall-to-wall people on the docks. If all of these people like each other so much why don't they buy a whole condo complex. I am certain if you formed a conga line at most of these places, it would be longer than the available water frontage. It seems that lots with the least water frontage contain the most people. There needs to be a limit on the number of rednecks that can occupy a dwelling. 2. Boat People. Many of the pontoon boats on this lake now look like the BOAT PEOPLE boats from Viet Nam or Hati. You should not be able to put more asses on a boat than there are seats. What is wrong with these people. Is this a bunch hunch? Regular Americans did not use to do this type of thing. I thought having your own house and own car and own boat was the American Dream. Crammed houses are the Mexican Dream. Crammed boats are the Haitian dream. Why are regular American rednecks pursuing the Mexican and Haitian dream. IS LAKE MARTIN GOING THIRD WORLD????????????????

Back when we were young, we would have the cars packed in the yard of the cabin, have rows of reel-to-reel and cassette decks to "file share" music, and enough coolers of beer to crush most decks. Yes, we did have to sleep on top of one another every once in a while, but we still managed to have big fun. Sometimes friends would "sleep" in the yard after several tequila shots, but that was all good too... Now, however - I am happy with VERY little company at the lake, just my wife, the dog and myself for the most part. Maybe it is just that I am too old to put up with all the crap now...

Gee KA, you're going soft. You offended everybody but Jews and African Americans there I think. We don't have that problem up here on Logan Martin. We secretly got Monsanto to dump pcb's in the lake to run the riffraff off. Maybe you should try that.

I have to say that is one funny post there Kizma. If I had to guess your an older fella because in my world we live by "the more the marrier". I love to have as many people at our lake house as it will sleep. Grillin, pina coladas, tubin, old forester, dancing....it all goes hand in hand. Some enjoy peace and quiet and some want to party and have fun. If you want the peace, use the lake Mon - Fri...want to have some fun and raise hell...show up on Saturday and Sunday. The house across from us had about 20 college kids raising hell all day and night one weekend....so the next weekend we showed them up and had about 20 40 year olds raising hell all day and night. It's all good! Pontoon boat issue is one you'll have to get over...if it floats and moves I am sure someone is gonna find a way to party on it. Can I borrow the line....jes sayin..... by the way....we will have about 12 at our place this weekend.

We will have 18 over the July 4th weekend. I am now going out to measure our water frontage to make sure we are "legal" under KA"S rules. And, just for your edification KA, we are all caucasions so, at least we have that working for us.

Actually it is the old people that I am talking about. Grandpa and Grandma will have his kids and her kids from each ones 4 marriages, and their kids. All of the kids will be on their second or third marriage and have his and hers and theirs and all of the life partners and so forth and so on. Each of these families should have their own house. BTW if things go as usual I will have over 100 people on the 4th of July, probably not all at once and none of them are related as those I have described above. I have only been married once.

Been married to the same woman for 34 years. All 3 of my children are still on their 1st marriage. They will be bringing their children, my Grand children, plus some old farts that are older than me. Does this meet your guidelines KA? Also, given your popularity rating, where in the world do these 100 people come from that visit you over the 4th? You must be giving something illegal away.

Oh no CAT...not getting me in on this one....saving my cultural sensitivity awards for Tracy Morgan and Scott Beason!
...nothing wrong with a good conga line, however, as long as you got the right kind of music....

Well I can't answer that until I know how much water frontage you have and how long your conga line is. The three kids with kids, why don't they have their own lake place so you all can visit each other at the various homes and not cluster up your neighborhood. If they are just staying for the day that is fine but it is the weekend long stuff that gets old. That many people on noodles and floats gets in the way of people on pwc's who want to buzz your dock. A lot of the people that are visiting me are from out of state. NY Ca Mass RI and CT. And a lot are locals, and many I don't know.

So these 100 people don't know you? I kinda figured that was the only way you could attract this kind of crowd.

There once was a man called Aunice
His rating on the Forum, Big Minus
But, don't you get down
You can always rebound
Keep posting. Your thoughts do amaze us.

Kizma is cool
The Forum a tool
To say what needs to be said.
Never politically correct
But, what the heck?
Don't matter, his tax has been paid.

Mexico, Haiti, Iran, the Far East
They come to our shores every day.
Kizma welcomes them here
With a hug and a beer,
Then ships them all to Bombay.

The original post
Maybe crude to most
Says a lot of the land we love.
Our culture is moving,
Not everyone approving,
But, we stay, and we vote, and we shove.

So, Fly your flag on the 4th of July,
Remember the country you adore.
But, if you elect Obama in 2012,
You're a dirty rotten,,,,,, Rat.

KA, It's all your fault. Since in another infamous thread you mentioned Lake Martin being a secret, I let every 3rd world country know that there is a safe haven at Lake Martin that loves them and would welcome them with open arms. I told them the only stipulation was they had to move into your neighborhood. All the homeowners on the lake can thank you for opening your mouth once again and telling about their little secret. I just could not resist. I have NEVER seen the problem you mention on our lake so I guess that Logan Martin will never have something that Lake Martin has, CLASS. I can't wait to see what I will be called this time! Just for S***'s and Grin's, google name calling. It will tell you why KA HAS to resort in name calling when he cannot reply with an intelligent comment.
