Last Saturday, my friend and i went out early for some fishing. His comment as we began our trip was "the water has a lot of "choppy" waves today". There wasn't many boats out at that time and there was hardly any wind. Something that I never really thought about was what were the factors which contribute to the water being rougher sometimes and relatively calm at others. I always just accepted it as it is what it is. What say ye?

It was simply the fish fleeing your advances.

My dear Watson. It's the first law of Thermodynamics at work.

I concluded the same thing exactly. While contemplating the coriolis effect upon the earth’s rotation factored with the angle of the moon and distance from the earth, it became apparent to me that the current weather conditions of the day were only a small contributor to the sine wave activity of the specific gravitational movement of the fluid substance with its physical properties a viscosity characteristic.
