Regarding the HPV inoculations, Michele Bachman says that she is not a Dr., but was just passing along what was told to her.... (by some woman she met) I guess that is where all these crazy Obama stories come from... just passing along something someone was told. Disturbing trend. And no, I'm not defending Obama...no doubt that there is as much misinformation circulating on the Democratic side too.

Hound, you are just like GF in that you have some sort of bizarre fixation on any female GOP candidate. She will not be the nominee so you can pull your claws back in and rest easy that the world is safe from a female conservative.

I don't have a fixation on female candidates per se -- but I find it hard to believe that with all the intelligent women who are in political life at some level or another, Michele Bachman is the best either party can do. It bothers me to see a woman making consistently stupid and illogical remarks (not to mention not factual), because I think it hurts all women when they do. Some men will look at her and say -- that's a woman for you. And I don't believe Democratic lies. In fact, in the upcoming election, I will be very independent. You can count on it. Honestly MM, sometimes you are like a scratched CD that won't stop playing.

Hound, you are really showing your age by the scratched CD comment. Scratched vinyl albums repeat, CDs just stop working. :-) Anyway, I am glad you will be independent and don't believe all the Democrat lies. I guess I don't see the world the way you do regarding comments made by a politician reflecting on their gender. There are lots of terrific female conservatives that are governors, PM's, etc. And there are tons of male politicians with below room-temperature IQs of all political parties. My point is that Bachman will not be the nominee and is not worth the brain damage or the focus that you and others like GF seem to have with her.

Haven't you ever had a CD that got a gouge on it and it kept repeating with that funny sound? I have.

Can't say that I have but I must admit, I quickly went from CD's to MP3 files so I may have never noticed.

You may not be supporting  Obama, but you are consistent.  You have backed off of criticism of Palin but have not missed a beat picking up on Bachman.  I still do NOT UNDERSTAND  why otherwise seeming intelligent women can't stomach accomplished conservative women..  Help me hound??

I'm appalled by both Palin and Bachman. If that's the sum total of conservative women, then your statement is correct. But, I suspect that they are not the total of all conservative women -- and that's what is the real shame. Why would these two be on the national stage when there are likely some women out there who are competent and worthy of consideration. I guess my question to you is why do you find them so appealing?

Let me answer please.... Their values align with mine, they raise their own kids and sometimes kids other than their own, their message is appealing, they earn their own way, they are active with local charities, they didn't attend Ivy League schools, they have faith in God, their voices don't sound like fingernails on a chalk board, and conservative women in general are a whole lot easier on the eyes than the hags and Alice the Goon look alikes forwarded by the democommieprogs. My question to the independent, educated you is why do you find these conservative women to be a threat? Your lifestyle or economic status? Probably not. Fed retirement? Don't see it. Buying the house next door? Unlikely. Jumping line at the Wal-Mart pharmacy? That's it!!!! That must be it. Eh, maybe not. So tell me, why do you feel threatened by these women?

See, what you don't get is that I don't feel threatened by these women at all. In my opinion, they play fast and loose with the facts, too often they shoot from the hip, and both rely on cheap sentimentality -- and I would feel the same about any male candidates that shared these qualities. For me, sex of the candidates is immaterial. As far as raising families, charitable works, etc. Admirable, but there are a lot of women who have those same "accomplishments", and aren't trying to run for national office. Women with solid intellectual and professional accomplishments. I'm not going to get into a debate with you about their professional accomplishments -- we'll just have to agree to disagree on those points. (BTW, I disagree with you about Sarah Palin's voice -- she seriously needs to learn to moderate her tone. To me, her voice alone sounds like nails on a chalkboard)
