Subject:   Incoherence of Occupy Wall Street
Date:   10/6/2011 8:57:56 AM

The left wing nuts are out in force and as usual they demonstrate why they are unemployed or underemployed. They are incoherent and stupid. I have been watching interviews of these folks and if they were not potentially able to vote it would actually be comical. Some examples. They are railing against Wall Street (even though I don't think they have a clue what Wall Street even is) and the lack of jobs. Yet a great many of them when asked if they would go to work for a big corporation recoiled in disgust and said "absolutely not!". They are railing about the millionaires and billionaires not paying their fair share but when asked if they know how much of the federal tax burden is paid by the top 10% most either are too ignorant to even venture a guess or guess significantly below the actual number (which is 70% s GF and Archie don't have to look it up). They rail about how the bottom half are being screwed but when asked how much in federal income taxes do the bottom 50% actually pay they either don't know or way overestimate their federal income tax burden (for GF and Archie it is essentially 0). When asked specifically what they want the answers range from the inane and incomprehensible (um, well, like, we want to start over....we want a reset, like, um....ya know, a new way of doing things that's more fair to the poor...ya, know, like.....hey, can I bum a cigarette from you?") to the insane ("we want to replace capitalism with a system that treats everyone equally). What we have here are a large number of losers and parasites that have failed in life and rather than looking introspectively and asking why they are losers they want to blame someone else. But things are going to change now as the SIEU union thugs and commie/anarchists have glommed onto this event. It is going to get violent just like in Seattle during the WTO.

Found this from the OWS website. Insane, stupid, ignorant, weird, etc. No comment from me as these all speak for themselves and no witty commentary could do more to demonstrate the idiocy of these people than their own words. Demand one: Restoration of the living wage. This demand can only be met by ending "Freetrade" by re-imposing trade tariffs on all imported goods entering the American market to level the playing field for domestic family farming and domestic manufacturing as most nations that are dumping cheap products onto the American market have radical wage and environmental regulation advantages. Another policy that must be instituted is raise the minimum wage to twenty dollars an hr. Demand two: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system. To do this all private insurers must be banned from the healthcare market as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses and hospitals preventing them from doing their jobs and hand that money to wall st. investors. Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment. Demand four: Free college education. Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand. Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now. Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America's nuclear power plants. Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment. Demand nine: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live. Demand ten: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system. Demand eleven: Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all. Debt forgiveness of sovereign debt, commercial loans, home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card debt, student loans and personal loans now! All debt must be stricken from the "Books." World Bank Loans to all Nations, Bank to Bank Debt and all Bonds and Margin Call Debt in the stock market including all Derivatives or Credit Default Swaps, all 65 trillion dollars of them must also be stricken from the "Books." And I don't mean debt that is in default, I mean all debt on the entire planet period. Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies. Demand thirteen: Allow all workers to sign a ballot at any time during a union organizing campaign or at any time that represents their yeah or nay to having a union represent them in collective bargaining or to form a union.

I am aware that some group was "occupying" Wall Street, but had no idea why. I assumed it was the same kind of thing that goes on periodically with the World Bank -- just some kind of internet thing of a certain generation. Won't make a difference in anything. Doesn't even seem to be getting much media coverage.

As I scrolled through the OWS pics posted at HotAit or Townhall, I said, to myself, Archie would be right at home here, sleeping on the sidewalk, walking with a poster handed him by someone else, and spouting off some inane demand. For that matter, he may in fact be there, cheering them on, bringing coffee, rubbing vaseline on their latest tattoo, or swabbing alcohol on the infected piercing.

Hound, apparently they are trying to expand this to other cities. I was in Houston this week on business and there was talk of a similar event there an in other cities. Apparently the left thinks this is their Tea Party. What a contradiction in terms. Herman Cain actually had a great response to these protesters. Don't blame big business or anybody else that you don't have a job and look at yourself and the decisions you have made.

Herman Cain is right. Except most people don't want to hear that. They expect that opportunities will just be presented to them; that they don't have to do a thing. Was chatting with a woman I know through my cat network. She has a college education. She commented to me that she "chooses" to work 30 hours a week at 7.75 an hour (she is in health care - does the overnight shift in a group home) and that she couldn't afford to live if she wasn't living with her father. Now, she wasn't really complaining, and I know she isn't on public assistance of any kind, but it left me wondering WHY??? She's not married, has no children. I so wanted to ask her how she expects to retire. I know that she doesn't have health care.

This demonstration is from the administration. All the events of the past 5 years are not about Wall ST. They area about the politcal class. I'd say we shouldn't re-elect any incumbents.

I agree it is the administration encouraging or even supporting this activity to help his class warefare and socialist agenda.   The media is saying it is the democrats equivalent of the Tea Party ....

I wonder how proud Obama is of the pictures of the Goldman Sachs CEO with the knife in his head and blood flowing out.    Not sure we saw things like that with the Tea Party.

If the Dems call the Tea Party extreme, because they want government to control spending and stop increasing taxes ... I wonder what they think of the "demands" of this group.  Are their requests extreme or something they can get behind and support.
