Subject:   Hi-tech lynching of Herman Cain
Date:   10/31/2011 3:37:05 PM

As he predicted early on the government media would eagerly participate in his hi-tech lynching if he ever got traction as the GOP nominee. So now we hear about alleged sexual misconduct that the folks at Politico don't want to go into detail about but think that Cain needs to answer these serious charges. I am now taking the Obama position and officially declare that any criticism, negative articles or adverse comments about Herman Cain is de facto racism. So if you go down that route here on the forum I will be forced to call you out.... Good for the goose....good for the gander. :-)

I have not thought so until recently. I guessed he was just a novelty in an otherwise boring, same-old-same-old contest for the GOP nomination. And, that he would fall out of the spotlight soon.
I just spent 2 hours watching videos of Cain's speeches/TV appearances, etc. Reconsidering my opinion. He has a strong message and very, very much charisma in delivering it. And, the polls show it.

I just wonder, assuming he is elected POTUS, How in Hell could he function effectively in a SnakePit like DC?? That is, without firing every single staffer on the payroll, and then accepting applications complete with interviews as a start.

Herman would make a fundamental, positive change in Washington or he'd be a one-term president.  In either case we'd be better off than having Mr "we can't wait on Congress....to do something else totally stupid" for another four years.

But if the Tea Party were to gain some more traction who knows...it might be the former of the two outcomes.

Anyone notice Fishy has been awfully quiet lately?  Even he is finding it hard to defend what the anointed one does....oh wait, that's right.  He only criticizes what Republicans and Conservatives do -- he doesn't defend what the present administration has done and is doing....probably because it is indefensible.

In 2000 after McCain won New Hamshire, the campain moved to South Carolina. A rumor was spread that McCain had fathered a black child with a prostitute. The dark skinned child was adopted by Cindy and John from Bangledash. The campaign accused the Bush folks of speading the rumor and the McCain campaign never recovered. In 2010, Carl Rove who had been accused said he had nothing to do with it and said it was started by a professor at Bob Jones University... hardly a leftist place of learning. I suspect we will eventually hear that this rumor about Cain was also leaked by the right. Because he is black?? No, simply because he is leading all the white boys and girls running against him.

GF, because you placed question marks in the title of your post I view that as an attack on Herman Cain. You are now officially a racist. I'm sorry, but you know full well that Herman Cain is a black man and therefore you can't put out an attack question like that. :-) As for who leaked it, I seriously doubt it was someone on the right. I think Cain scares the heck out of the Oblamer team and their opposition research and tendency toward the politics of personal destruction leads me to believe they are the source. The good news for me is that I have just as much evidence for my opinion as you do for yours.....none. But it is the seriousness of the charge that demands a thorough investigation of the White House on this. Forget Fast and Furious, Solyndra, serial assassinations of heads of state, etc. This is the real deal!!!! But seriously, Oblamer is destroying the country and we are spending all this time talking about whether some organization that Cain belonged to settled a lawsuit? That says more about us than it does about Herman Cain......and besides, because he is a black man these women only made these allegations because they are racists. They probably have confederate flags tattoos, secretly admire Robert Byrd and voted for Al Gore, Sr.......twice. And who knows, they may even be black themselves to hide their racism......brilliant strategy!

You miss MM's point completely...who knows, maybe by choice.  I believe he was pointing out the lunacy of all the claims of racism with regard to Obama.....especially the way we "white, wealthy, prejudiced Tea Party hate mongers" flock to Herman Cain.  Kind of blows the racism crutch out the door, now doesn't it.

And yes, the Republican party will not try to defeat him because he is black, unlike the Democrat party who fight to keep Obama because he is black, (or at least half black anyway).

ing" Herman Cain, perhaps you should look to the right. Politics is a dirty business and I'm sure some of the other right wing contenders would like to see his current popularity derailed. Or maybe Karl Rove is striking again. I'm still mixed on Cain. He does have a charismatic personality, but that ad with the smoking makes me question his judgement. I want to hear more, much more from him. I want some details. I don't particularly care about the sexual harassment charges at this point. Having worked in a largely male environment for many years, I am well aware that things get said that could be construed as sexual harassment. Sometimes it's just a lapse in good taste or over-sensitivity. Now if he was grabbing women or stalking women, that would be another story. I have a feeling that as an early frontrunner, he will not be the nominee.

I'm puzzled...what in my post set you off and made you think I was accusing anyone of a "lynching"?

Hound, I was actually being tongue in cheek about all this. The thing with Cain is politics as usual and really doesn't bother me. I would love to know who leaked this but it is obviously someone that supports either one of the other GOP candidates or Obama. My gut feel is the left is scared to death to have Obama run against a black GOP candidate because they fear he will attract some portion of the black vote where Romney is not going to in a million years. So some Dem lawyer familiar with the situation let the very left-wing Politico know about it. But who knows.....

in many polls, at least for now, against seasoned, experienced, professional politicians with Deep Pockets??

I think it is because every-day voters are sick and tired of being lied to by career politicians who will do literally anything to remain in office or gain a committee chair, or pay off a lobby donor for a favor.
At least Today voters have heard his message and ideals. Thus, he leads the polls.

Tomorrow>>>
Alas, further into the election process, the MEDIA and HUGE WarChests will eventually grind Mr. Cain into obscurity. And, leave us with Mr. Romney. Sad day for the GOP.

Heads-Up between Romney and Hillary Clinton??? Face-to-Face??  Hillary will eat his lunch and send him home to momma.

Nothing you said. I guess I was responding to MM's title. I'm kinda getting a kick out of watching him dance around this issue -- as he "remembers " more details. Apparently there was some kind of settlement, and he's dancing around the definition of "settlement" (shades of Bill Clinton) I just have to smile at these "crisis" that come out as they try to narrow the field. I predict it is a 3-day wonder.

I think people like him right now because he is the "non-politician". I think people are so disgusted with Washington right now that any outsider with a plan seems preferable to another politician. Besides, he's charismatic. He's charming. He seems to have a sense of humor. People think he gets it. In much the same way that people embraced Obama's "hope and change" message, people are still looking for someone with a message that things can get better. He's picking up a lot of contributions, which will help him get the message out. I keep telling y'all that Hillary won't run. I think Hillary has no desire to get back into that mess. Better to go out at the top of the opinion poll, than getting down in the mud. Like Condi Rice - she escaped and she's not going back.

It is amusing based on 2 ?? you have branded me a racist. Cain had an interesting statement this past May as he apparantly was anticipating some dirt that he coined the phrase "high tech lynching" in an attempt to take a high ethical and moral approach to any negative issue raised from the past. It sure sounds like Shaprton and Jackson. "Back in May, however, Cain predicted that "[t]hey're going to come after me more viciously than they would a white candidate," telling the Washington Examiner that "I'm ready for the same high-tech lynching that [Thomas] went through -- for the good of this country.""

GF, that's where I got the title from. As I said my comments were tongue in cheek which the more astute readers quickly picked up. However, by the standards of the left with Oblamer, any criticism of a black politician like the Herminator is de facto proof of racism. By keeping the title with the question mark you have joined the ranks of the rest of us as you are officially a racist. Works both ways my friend..... Cain was of course prepared for the assault from the left as he was never on the Democrat party plantation and as with Clarence Thomas, he was prepared for the lynching by the government media since he isn't down for the struggle, didn't spend the 60's plotting how to kill whitey and doesn't support redistribution of wealth. He just got an education, worked hard, took risks and achieved all the while eschewing the poverty pimps like Sharpton and Jackson, the liberation preachers like Jeremiah Wright and the Islamic nut jobs like Calypso Louie. As some libtard lady said on pMSNBC, dat dude jes don know his place..... What I think is becoming even more humorous is the more they attack him the more money he collects and the better he does in the polls. If there is any impact from this whole sordid business it will be questions about his electability. This is after all an ABO (anybody but Oblamer) election cycle and for the sake of the country I am hopeful we will nominate the candidate that has the best chance of defeating the incumbent. Cain still has to demonstrate to me that he is the man for the job. Until then I am enjoying the near on panic of the left about him possibly getting the nomination. Imagine, a real black man raised by black parents in the south versus a half black raised by white grandparents and enjoying all the benefits of white guilt. Maybe one step closer to a society where we stop looking at the color of their skin and judge them on the content of their character?!?!?

Why else would he agree with me????????????? Do you agree with the Cain campaign or do you conclude they are lying???? FOX News which only posts the truth, and not the government media, reported the following: "Herman Cain's top aide accused Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s campaign of being behind the recent stories about sexual harassment allegations against Cain from the 1990s that have rocked the former pizza company executive’s presidential campaign. "This is one of the actions in America that is the reason why people don't get involved in politics," Mark Block, Cain's campaign chief of staff, said in an exclusive interview with Fox News' "Special Report." "The actions of the Perry campaign are despicable.""

Whether the allegations were fact or fiction, Mr. Cain, with 10 days advance knowledge of Politico having the story, should have been better prepared. Two days of a soft shoe, and then blaming the Perry campaign, followed an hour later by blaming someone else, just doesn't give me a good feel for him. This has potential to be a political crisis for the Cain campaign, only because the response(s) has been so irresponsible. I don't know the right way to respond to these sorts of things, but I just look at Herman over the last 3 days to truly understand the wrong way. Beyond that, having lived the last 34 months with the reluctant leader of the formerly free world blaming someone, something, anything and everything for his issues, it may be time for me to look beyond Herman Cain for his replacement. http://p.washingtontimes.com/blog/watercooler/2011/nov/2/picket-source-rham-emanuel-involved-cain-sexual-ha/

The rules are different for them.We taxpayers of America even had to pay them to use his quotes on the memorial to him.  My favorite was back in the day when they asked to guvment to 'buy' all his papers for like 23 million, but custody, control and copyright would stay with them.  Sweet deal if you can get it!

I am a King admirer. I have been to the Highland School outside Knoxville where he and like minded folks used to gather to plan and organize.  I sat and talked with two women who were there, with pictures in the scrapbook to prove it.  It was fascinating to talk with these ladies.  The way the movement has been hijacked by race and poverty pimps would and should turn stomach everywhere.

For those that don't know, the whole Selma event was NOT a spontaneous event.  It was planned.  In the Great Room of the lodge of the Highland School.  Once again, I have seen the pictures.  Rosa Parks was chosen over another lady for the actual act of civil disobedience because of her impeccable reputation within the local community.  The other lady in consideration had already had a run in or two with local officials I believe. Anyway Rosa was chosen, a date set, and the rest as they say is history.

Another little known fact is that the Reverend Jackson ran and hid like a little girl when the gunshots rang out.  Only AFTER it had been deemed safe did he go back the the body of Rev. King, dip his hands in is supposed friends blood and wipe it on his shirt and then "pose" for the infamous pic of him hovering over King's body.  There was internal strife among the 'group' of supporters because some, Jackson et. al., who wanted to use the movement for personal financial gain at the time, but Rev. King unequivocally denied them that perversion of his  'dream'.

That is really interesting. I'm very interested in Civil Rights history. I've always thought that Reverend Jackson was a phony. He and Al Sharpton have nothing to do with civil rights and everything to do with lining their own pockets by shake downs. I like the new MLK memorial, but I didn't think it should be on the Mall in DC. Yes, he gave the "I have a Dream" speech there, but that was only a speech. I think it would have been more appropriate in Montgomery or Selma. Maybe even Atlanta.
