Hound, I do an internal blog for my company and devoted the entire posting on Friday to veterans, which includes my deceased Dad and brother and sister. I see a lot of military personnel on Delta flights and always try to thank them for their service. Was on a flight recently where a woman traded her first class seat with a military guy who had a center seat and during the flight he brought her back a drink. They really are incredible people that do an amazing job. Nice post......

They really do. And we don't know the half of it, because they wouldn't say. The other people that deserve a lot of credit are their families. Especially the families of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Thank God the American public is treating the service men and women with the respect they deserve. I served in the 60's when Fonda, Ayres, Kerry and their ilk ran wild. Still a sore point.

OD, apparently America learned its lesson from Vietnam. I really think the vitriol aimed at our Viet Nam-era servicemen and women was really aintended for our national leaders. That you and others were criticized for doing your duty is a shame.
