While on the way to A/C the other day, I saw a banner declaring the restaurant / bar on the south side of the 280 reopened ("Frankies"). I hadn't seen any chatter here on the LMTF about it. Anyone know the latest info on this? I remember there were a lot of negative comments about parking there above the facility, and that was a cause of problems for an otherwise nice site. RadioActive

I ate there last week. I had the two piece catfish dinner. It was two whole squealer catfish french fries and slaw.

Fried food is not my favorite, however, I must say that this was excellent. The food will remind you of the food at the Pineywoods restaurant that use to be at the mouth of the Elkahatchee Creek.

The place was very clean and although crowded, neither the customers nor the staff were disgusting.

If you want old school lake food at reasonable prices, this might be the place.

I hope they do well...It will be nice to have a place to eat on the North end of the Lake.
