The First and Second ladies were so eloquent with "Gentlemen Start Your Engines". I am sure you had goosebumps when the 4 jets flew over as you are a posting patriot. Goofy is big NASCAR fan and for a few years sponsored a car on a local track. Now, enjoy the race.

They don't exactly run into each other for fun. Turn it on ESPN ..last race of the year with 3 points separating
1st and 2nd place for the championship.

After you get past the initial rush associated with cars flying by at warp speed all packed tightly together and the assault on your eardrums, NASCAR racing is really boring.  The debauchery in the infield and around the stands is much more entertaining - if that kind of entertainment is what you are looking for.

The fastest car doesn't always win because of all the cautions.  But how exciting is it when one car is five laps ahead?....its not... and that is one of the reasons they have cautions at the drop of a hat.

Don't understand the original post, but it digressed to NASCAR? It is ENTERTAINMENT. So what?
Some like Vanilla, some Chocolate or Strawberry. If it generates money, do it. Who cares????

Quit complaining and turn it on 24 laps to the championship. If Stewart wins and Edwards is 2nd as they are now they end up tied. But, Stewart will win cause he has the most wins this year, Watch it and enjoy the end.

Your willingness to put down her derriere says a lot more about you than it does about her body type. That's a new low for you, but why am I not surprised? It's clear that you are a coarse individual. And funny, she's never commented on your body parts.

Well, I've stayed out of this derriere fray until now....but the First Oblamer Lady makes a big deal about eating right and tries to tell others what they should or should not eat.  For her to sport such "junk in her trunk" is a bit disingenuous now, isn't it?

I don't care if she were Twiggy...she has no danm business telling me what to eat or what to feed my grandchildren.  And I am sure the NASCAR folks, salt of the land they can be, don't really appreciate it either.

The two were at the track to honor and increase awareness for military families and you proud vets have to insult her because she has a bigger butt than you might like. You guys are better than that. Sometimes silence is golden. This is one of those times.

You know danm well it is not the gluteus maximus but the attitude several vertebrae higher.  What is really sad is the loss of values that you seemingly embrace.

If you look at the rest of her body, she is fit and trim. She works out. She has amazing arms. She can't help her body type any more than any other woman. She's not a fashion model, she's the First Lady. You may recall that Laura Bush was a bit bottom heavy too -- but no one commented on that. Hilary wasn't a fashion model, nor was Barbara Bush. Just because she is First Lady and you don't like her or her husband is not a reason to disparage her body. If you want to disagree with her ideas, her actions, her speeches that is one thing. But to disparage her body is wrong. I personally don't see anything wrong with trying to get kids to eat healthy -- given the obesity level of the young. The restauranteur Alice Waters has been advocating this for years. She started programs to have kids at school growing and eating their own vegetables. And no, I don't think pizza is a vegetable, despite the tomato sauce.

I am a bit uncomfortable that Stewart won the championship without winning a single race during the regular season. Something odd here. Sort of like Alabama and Auburn loosing all there regular season games, but winning the BSC championship. Hmmmmm.

But he won 5 of 10 in the playoff.

Most of the people I have met in Alabama would not dream of making comments about someone's derriere. My grandfather was a farmer, so I'm not without some country in me too, and I can tell you that the country people I know have more class than to talk about someone's derriere, unless it was to say that someone was showing theirs. And you really need to get over the Pentagon thing. You may be retired, but apparently you haven't put your resentments behind you. And I doubt you have ever been to NJ either. It's not all Jersey Shore and the Sopranos.

"You need to adopt more of their go along to get along attitude."  Typical right wing nut...my way or the highway. You need to accept that your narrow minded views are not shared by all. Rather, just by your fellow narrow minded posters.Need I name them???????????????

Oh, two weeks at McGuire makes you an expert on NJ too? Funny, my Grandfather's farm wasn't too far from there. And my Pentagon colors? What colors would those be? Red, white and blue? Army green? You really need to get over it.

I'd rather poke my eye out with a stick, then go along with some of the posters here.

You typed "then".  Did you mean that or did you mean "than".  One letter makes a huge difference in your post.

Obviously, I meant "than". Thanks for pointing it out.

Thought so.....:>)

I was thinking several days ago that the forum had become boring.  Thankfully it has been shaken from its malaise.
