I can see it happening. BO has his base voters locked. All he needs to win is a few per centage points from the "undecided" voters. And, he'll get that during the campaign. He is, after all, the Incumbent???

The GOP had better find a "Knight in Shining Armor" for the final run to election. Because the offering thus far, I am afraid, is not enough to derail the big O. Scares me that the GOP is this weak.

Haven't celebrated as many birthdays as a few posters, but can't recall either party running a knight in shining armor. This election is about the future of this nation, and we can either continue on the current path at runaway train speed, continue on the current path at a moderated pace, or return to free market with personal risk/reward. I am philosophically opposed to the first 2 scenarios, and am looking for a candidate that shares my vision, can adequately articulate it, and has some demonstrated experience working toward it. Knight in shining armor is not a resume enhancer for me. It is Obama or America 2012

I would submit to you that regardless of their flaws any one of them will be infinitely better than the teleprompter in chief.  Do not let the desire for perfection outweigh the good, even if that good is incremental.  The current field is fine and it is what it is.  We need to vote from the available choices who we think can beat Obama and then support whoever the nominee is with all we've got.  ABO.......anybody but Obama!

Does that mean you will vote for Obama and help continue the distruction of america?   If so why is that better than bringing leadership back rather than class warefare and deviding america.

Obama is not solving any problems, taking from others, more taxes so he can continue short term stimulus does not fix the real problem of getting the country moving and supporting the private sector to create jobs.   We need a leader that understands that.    The country needs more jobs, not redistribution that does nothing but brings the whole country down.

As I have said many times over the last 3 years ... Obama wants and america where the government is strong and the the country is weak.   He wants to dismantle capitalism.   I feel even more positive that is his vision.

I don't even think he wants the extension of the payroll credit ... he just wants to create the noise of class warefare.   The republicans have offered several solutions for passage that fully pays for it ... but Obama only wants it for the people if it can be his way ... otherwise he wants the sound bites for his campaign.

He is a disaster for this country.

An example of one ran and won in 2008, yep, BO. At least, enough armor to dazzle enough voters to beat McCain/Palin, right? I did not vote for him then, and I will not in 2012. But, he is not going to disappear in 2012 just because you and I do not like him and the damage he has caused. He is the POTUS, and as POTUS they have an amazing ability to rise to the occasion, improve poll numbers, spend zillions of dollars, make more deals for votes, and gain re-election.
If either Newt or Romney had the charm/charisma/TV face of a Guiliani/Christie/Rubio/Palin in addition to their conservative platforms, BO would be toast. They do not and will not. I hate letting BO stay in the game until the last hand, and that is what the GOP is doing with these candidates.

Your words, right? He won because McCain ran a horrible campaign, and treated zer0, his experience, his background, his positions, as pretty much untouchable. He campaigned against GW instead of the marxist. He treated zer0 as a distinguished colleague, instead of the unworthy opponent he was. Guiliani and Christie are both NE nanny squishes, Rubio still has much to prove. The R field will sort itself out, then take on oblamer. Right now, every one of them is dancing for exposure, adjusting the message, really trying to find the hot buttons. Any one of them, including the dusty old congressman from TX, will run a better, more directed, solid messaged campaign than we were forced to live through 4 years ago.
