Method to age wood for restoration efforts. I use it a lot on antique clock cases, but it will also work well on older furniture restoration.

Feb...Interesting article. Does it work better with certain species of wood such as pine rather than oak? Also, can you use the process with pressure treated wood for outdoor projects?

I have never tried it on pressure treated lumber, but I suspect it would change the color. I would try it on a scrap piece first. You are going to want to use the same type wood as the original if possible or the results will vary from what you are attempting to match. The grain of the wood is going show even if it is aged. There will also be a significant difference between soft pine and heart pine. (Absorpton and tighness of grain. Heart pine is basically a hard wood.)
