I believe a private citizen has the right to live as they wish provided it does not harm others. But to be an elected official I'd like to think the person I support has an overall good moral compass. A person demonstrates morality through their actions; not just by stating what they profess to believe. And in this regard the person's actions in their private life can provide some indication of how they will likely perform publicly. I can't readily separate the private actions from the public actions. Many obviously can as evidenced by the staunch Bill Clinton supporters that were oblivious to his philandering. The S.C. primary will be interesting.

We have a POTUS that seems like a good family man and yet he is hell bent on destroying this country. Same with Jimmy the Worthless One Carter, who only lusted in his heart. Then you have other examples of the opposite. I think the lesson here is there is no secret formula. Newt is a deeply flawed man, I believe primarily because most of his adult life was spent inside the beltway. This is a place of limited morality.....or more to the point limitless immorality.

Newt was my man from the begining and is till the end. With that being said I will vote for whoever comes out on top of the GOP over obama.

I'm with you on the vote. It is guaranteed that the GOP will nominate someone much better than BHO.

Reply to Buzz- I agree, Newt is the BEST to do the job that is needed to be done. He has been there, done that before

It is interesting that the media will pillory a Republican for what is almost a pre rec for a Democrat. The Clintons had an open marriage. Kennedy was almost a satyriasis. If the present occupant of the White House house had 10% of the scrutiny these candidates have endured and will endure I doubt O'blaimer and company would be living the high life.
I am pulling for Nute. He's not perfect but he is smart and, I believe, has solutions for our problems and he is not a LAWYER! He is a historian and history is the only light shining on the future.
