Anderson Cooper and minions just did a hatchet job on Whitney Houston.  They dissected her… and then, dissected her again.  All the while they were piously proclaiming what a beautiful and talented person she was.  Oh… and then AC360 dissected her some more.  I wanted to count adjectives… but, somehow I lost track.

Fair and balanced?  No …aimed at the prurient interest of the Elvis crowd.  After all, they have some right to know.  (I hereby abdicate my right to know anything about the decadent demise of anyone famous.)

I’m trying here… to be objective.  But, if they covered Obama the way Miss Houston was covered… uh… that would be sacrilegious (ah…but I digress).

HOWEVER, conservatives are fair game on AC360… yea ALL of CNN.

Watch for yourself.  Ignore the subject matter and just concentrate on the presentation.

I never really cared much for Whitney Houston’s music.  It was all about her.  But, now she is far away from the likes of her agents, the paparazzi, and CNN.

I really don’t care at all for CNN… journalism at its worst.

Gee… can you tell?

Just driving by and thought I would comment. With FOX moving to the Center and your dislike for CNN, you will soon be listening to NPR. Remember, OBAMA 2012...........

In 2008 I was in the Crown Room at JFK waiting on a flight to Rome...had about a three hour wait....the TV was on CNN.  After three hours I was convinced they had misnamed the Obama News Network....

Do you know CNN pays the atlanta airport, Delta (crown rooms & flights) and many office buildings in Atlanta to only broadcast their channel.   Since Fox kills them in the ratings over and over ... it was the only way to keep their channel on in public places.

Wouldn't doubt it.  I spend a lot of time in Hilton properties and for a while they didn't carry Fox but aparently their clientele made them see the error of their ways....

I am a Delta Sky Club member.  They do indeed have CNN running all of the time… BUT, they also have sets with Fox News running… and that’s where most people sit.

In Hilton (and other) properties, they turn the set on to CNN… but, leave the remote available.  I’m sure you know what happens then.

Why is it okay for CNN to be labeled a mouthpiece for liberals, yet whenever anyone says that Faux News is nothing more than a mouthpiece for the Right, the Right gets indignant? I don't watch Faux News, no one is making me watch it. So if you don't like CNN, don't watch it. No one will make you watch it. But, as an aside, I do think the coverage on Whitney Houston's death is totally over the top on all stations. I'm sorry she died, but I don't care about the speculation as to how, why or her behavior that may have lead to her desk. She had a wonderful voice at one time, but that has not been the case for a lot of years now.

Uh... say what, Hound?  Did you read the string first... before you commented?

I watch Fox News and find it to be pretty even until you get to the nighttime hours.  Most of the days is pretty straightforward.

I also watch CNN and MSNBC on occasion to be "fair and balanced".  MSNBC puts on some very interesting shows, mostly on weekends, about life in US prisons.  However, their evening shows during the week are much more trashy than their Fox counterparts.  They are nothing more than attack, attack, attack anything right or any right wing media outlet in the most vehement ways.  If it weren't so pathetic it would be funny.

CNN coverage is very left wing, altough with a little more class than MSNBC.

Fox evening shows are a mixed bag.  O'Reilly has an agenda and for most part shades to the right.  However, he calls it as he sees it and is not the least reluctant to call out a right wing figure for something stupid.  Hannity is a total right wing sideshow, but I don't see him sneering like Madow and those other two guys do on MSNBC.  Greta Van Susteren, to me, puts on a pretty decent show and isn't wildly right wing - in fact I don't detect much of a slant.

Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder....

I don't watch any of the evening "news" shows on CNN, MSNBC or Fox, because they all just annoy me. I wish more of them could follow the Tim Russert model -- ask a question and let their guest actually answer. I think they are all wildly biased in their views; and they seemingly want to fight with their guests. During the day, I think Fox is fine and I think MSNBC is fine -- I once respected CNN, but I'm not as sold on them as I once was. When I have the time during the day, I enjoy searching for articles around the internet, often from sources that I don't routinely read. I also have a few Facebook friends that are just wildly liberal and sometimes they post articles that are as patently ridiculous as some of the wildly Right Wing views. It's interesting to see what is out there and what people take as the truth (which we all know usually lies in the middle).

As you, I recognize the wildly off course rhetoric on the right as well as left.  And I agree with change that is good - that stands the tests of logic and reason.  Don't have much use for the wildly irrational rants of either side, but do believe in self reliance and limiting assistance to those who truly need it.

Love the tin-hat crowd. I had one woman that belongs to a cat forum I frequent post that the USG is bombarding her house with electro-magnetic rays based because of what she knows. And another friend who otherwise seems to be a very smart person, but she truly believes the AF has a program to manipulate the weather and that is why the change in weather patterns. Apparently there really is an AF program that does some research on short term localized weather manipulation, but the tin hat crowd has drawn some pretty wild conclusions. You may remember that the AF also had a legitimate research program on levitation.

And all the end of the world predictions.  Heck, I'm not worried about the end of the world, I am just thankful to be able to take another breath.  When it is time, it will be time.  No sense in fretting over it.

I do get a kick out of some of the wild conspiracy theories, or maybe its the theorists.

Yeah, the end of the world. Just don't do your Christmas shopping too early. I've got a dog probably facing surgery to stabilize her knee. I'm not even sure we'll survive that.
