I am not so sure about that. I paid for my place on the front row and could see and hear well.
You don't have a bunch of 12 to 15 year old kids walking in front of your boat like you do at the amp. You don't have to park 2 miles away and ride a stupid shuttle bus with the great unwashed. And when you want to leave you can crank up your boat and drive away. At the amp you have to walk 2 miles in the mud.

And last but not least, you don't have the pole dance boat next to you at the Amp.

Aquapalooza is a unique event which highlights what Lake Martin has to offer; it has steadily grown to the numbers mentioned in this article without many serious safety issues. Why would you take something that has been proven to be safe and successful and change it completely? I for one, think it will create many more opportunities for mayhem on land than it does on water. :-(

We can all go to a concert anytime in many places, so this is a "bustapalooza". A concert in the area is fine, but trying to sell it as any type of replacement Aquapalooza shows a lack of connection with the event. Aquapalooza wasn't just about the music, it had become an event..... I can't believe that the organizers cant see that and capitalize. True Aquaplaooza fans don't care about a big name band or bands, they care about the event and the event they care about takes place on the water.
