The neighbors across the slough have decided that everyone within a two-mile radius needs to hear their music. Which would be bad enough if it was good music, but it's some sort of electronica garbage. I understand having fun and loving music and combining the two, but I don't think they need to share their noise with the rest of Cherokee Slough. And if tradition holds, the music will still be going strong until 2:00 AM, maybe even later. I gave up asking them to turn it down long ago; I just needed to vent to someone who might care even just a little bit.

Cherokee Slough? Big A-frame log house? I spent a night at a friend's a summer or two ago when our AC went out on one of those 100-degree days, and the music coming from that place was so loud and so obnoxious that I considered making the long drive back to my place, figuring that no matter how sweltering it was inside, it couldn't be worse than what I was being forced to listen to.

I don't know how anyone could be so dense, so I figure they do it on purpose and just don't care. If we ever have a Forum Award for Most Inconsiderate Lake Dweller, I nominate them.

I know the house you are referring to. We are only a few doors away and we have listened to it every summer! Don't mind it much, but after 10:00, it gets old. Just wish they would be a little more considerate.
