Subject:   Throttle Adjustment possible??
Date:   5/9/2012 7:59:59 PM

Boat is a 96 Harris FlotDek with a 5.0L Ford/Volvo OD. New throttle control cable.
The problem I have is that we like to cruise at a slow, constant speed, on plane without plowing the water behind us.
I can get it where I want it to ride, but I have to hold the throttle, firmly, in position to hold it there. The stick wants to slide back to a slower speed and comes down off plane.
Is there any adjustment to throttle tension that would hold the stick in position? Where is the adjustment?
Thanks, Mack

look on the front of your shift lever box....( Thats where it is on  mine is anyway)  takes a flat head screwdriver

turn in to tighten.  Probably want to leave the screwdriver on the boat...you may decide you need to adjust

again.

I have a Harris and you have to remove the cover over the shifter to get to the screw.

Cat, I am about halfway back in Parker Creek,, just about as far by water as possible from your shop.
