In case you haven't bought your straw yet. I go to Pugs Place at the intersection of 49 and 34 (in the Store 34 shopping strip). There straw is clean (no brambles, pine cones, sticks, etc.) Also, the place next to Cathouse Marina (the place with the palm trees) also sells it.

Best pine straw I've bought the past few years came from Carlos McDaniel (256-750-1429). Carlos is located in Dadeville on 49S across from the body shop. He had the contract with APCo to rake the long leaf pine straw until the tornado last year wiped out most of the trees. He is now raking in GA and you will find his straw superior to the half rotten straw at most retailers.
