Jobless rate starting to rise despite BLS continuing to reduce the labor force, only 69,000 jobs were added in May, weekly unemployment claims continue at greater than 380,000, the stock market is tanking, home prices continue to tank, consumer confidence has fallen to a 5-month low, annual GDP has been lowered once again to 1.9% and will likely be lowered again, the current labor participation rate is less than 64 million and back to what it was during Jimmy Carter's first term, the budget deficit is projected to be $5 trillion (or $42,000 for every working American). I could go on an on but I think you get the picture. And that's just domestically. Internationally its even worse. As far as I can tell the only good news is lower gas prices, interest rates are low, a slight increase in manufacturing and inflation is holding steady for now. Help me out here GF and explain to me why the Messiah deserves a second term?!?!? Or more appropriately why does Jimmy Carter deserve a 3rd term? His first two were disasters. We need someone with a modicum of competence back in the WH. We took a hope on change and all we got was hopeless and change for the worse......

For the people wanting work and they have to suffer the Oblamer failed policies even longer.

Average weeks unemployment under the Bush 8 years - 19 weeks .... under Oblamer, now up to 44 weeks.  Keeps rising.

Despite Oblamer talking that he has created jobs and blames others that not more have been created because we won't raise taxes (yeah that would stimulate job growth) ... the FACT is that there are less people employed today than when he took office .... that is what Romney needs to hammer on when he tries to say that as Govenor of Mass Romney did not create that many jobs ... probably right, but he reduced unemployment from 5.1 to 4.7 .... if Oblamer was at those levels, I doubt it would even be a campaign issue.

A few months ago that we were heading back in to recession and don't get excited about the economic news ... since fish logs all my posts, I am sure he can find it.   Sadly, it appears I am right.

But It should be good for the country to get this disaster out of office.

I agree the news is not good world wide. China is beginning to have a slowdown as production is down with an inventory build up while Europe is a basket case. We may well be headed to a world wide recession and neither party will be able to turn it around that quickly. I might even consider a Romney Bloomberg ticket.

I saw the news on China as well and it probably reflects a lack of demand in the U.S. and Europe which was to be expected. What is sad is that everything Oblamer has done (aided and abetted by the Dem-controlled Senate) has made things much worse. What he has to be able to explain this fall, and it is going to be tough, is why this recession is so different than any other. On that note, he would prefer to talk about Bain because the answer is there is a tried and true domestic policy that has always worked and TOTUS has chosen the exact opposite and we are bearing the brunt while he has become a multi-millionare. He does not deserve reelection and in the real world only the far left that hates America (about 20%) should vote for this guy. Anyone else with a modicum of mental agility would understand that he was not up to the job when elected, has learned nothing in the last 3 1/2 years and is ideologically driven toward big government solutions that have never and will never work,.

My preference would have been that Oblamer was more ambitious than ideological like Bill Clinton. At least Clinton understood how our economy works unlike the Messiah. So I guess what I am saying is that a Dem that can't keep his junk in his drawers is much less damaging to the country than one that is a big government socialist like TOTUS. Oblamer is a pure ideologue who would rather destroy the economy of the U.S. than do what is needed to turn it around. Even if you give the gullible that took a hope on change in 2008 a pass, there is no excuse other than willful ignorance or pure stupidity to vote for him in November (excluding of course the left wing nuts like Archie and GF that really don't seem to care as long as they are doing OK). And then there are the independents like Hound that would never be willing to admit their mistake but hopefully when in the voting booth will be willing to admit their error. The rest of us predicted this would be Jimmy Carter's second term because we ignored the malfeasance of the government media and did our own due diligence. We looked at his academic and work history, we read what he wrote, we examined his associations, we saw his legislative actions such as they were and rightly concluded that he was neither qualified nor ideologically suitable for such an important office. We were ignored by those suffering from Bush Derangement Syndrome and instead of thinking critically they bought hook, line and sinker that McCain was no different than Bush and Palin was not competent. Now we have the magnificently ignorant Oblamer and the nincompoop VDOUS (Vice Doofus of the U.S.) that is one heart beat away......

MM you may have seen this.  If not, it is worth ten minutes.  It is really disgusting and show how the MSM played a major role in this disaster.
